Believe it or not the stripe on that 69 Camaro is a factory stripe. RPO DX1 "Special Striping." It was not very popular but was available on any 69 Camaro for $25.30. Looks like a Bumble Bee stripe then splits on center of the header panel and goes back down the center of the hood.

Yep. you're missing something. Musclecarkid is correct, thats the DX1 stripe, and a factory option in 69...its different than anything offered in 67 or 68, and really, its very different than anything else offered in 69 too. Personally, i think its one of the coolest stripe packages available in 1969. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Yes the DX1 stripe is very cool. Two of my 69's have the DX1 stripe option. You don't see too many DX1 Camaro's these days, and that is what makes it such a unique stripe option. I have seen DX1 stipes on RS, SS, and Sport Coupe 69 Camaro's.

You learn something new everyday. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif I've seen hockey stripes on 67/68's. Was this an option also?

Was this stripe available with the cowl induction hood? I've seen a few cowl hood cars with that stripe. Looks neat!

The silver '69 RS ZL1 has this striping as well...
