Got this email a few minutes ago...

Dear Club Members, I am saddened to report the passing of a dear friend. and a true Supercar fan, Mr. Ron Vorhees of Plano, Texas. Ron attended the first three Reunions,
and would have been to more if not for his illness. A lot of people didn't know he was sick. Ron refused to give up. Please keep him in your prayers, along with his wife, Pam.

Thank you, Don Clark

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I cannot believe this. He just called me a few days ago. He did not sound well, but told me he would be at the SCR7. I did not know he was battling cancer untill he told me. He was looking for a Yenko Deuce. He was a great friend and great guy. This is so sad...BKH

This is very sad indeed, he had called a few times over the last couple of weeks looking for 'his' Yenko Deuce. A genuinely super nice guy, and avid SuperCar Hobbyist in addition, we will miss him very much.

I too met Ron at the 2nd Reunion. He seemed like a nice guy and he was parked next to my Green YENKO Camaro and he had a orange YENKO Camaro. He told me that he had just bought it from a lady that her husband had just passed away. ENJOY OUR FAMILIES and our toys as you never know when your Time is UP!! Sometimes Life is too Short!!
