The latest example of where this hobby is going. There is an E-bay item #2458306382 for L78 documentation. I got an e-mail from this guy last week trying to sell me this paperwork for $1,000. Considering the original car was parted out and junked, there is only one possible use for these items, creating a fake car!!! This kind of stuff has to be stopped cold. It is wrong and should not be tolerated by E-bay or this board. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

He has a photo of the title listed in the auction as included, I do not believe that is legal.

In my opinion E-bay is becoming the official "pimp" of the collector car hobby. Anything goes and obviously does. It's about time this 800 lb. gorilla got put back in the cage. Too many people are getting ripped off and there needs to be some accountability and responsibility. Just a thought: notice how they now have a big presence at Carlisle. Makes you wonder what the real deal is. This hobby should be about enjoying the experience, the cars and most of all, the special people who help make it unique. Carnival hucksters have no place in this group. I hope they clean up this mess before it gets any worse. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

At least the VIN will be in a lot of people's files for future reference. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Lets keep up the pressure and stay on top of this kind of nonsense. Glad to see some guys recognize how important this is. Remember " THERE ARE NO FAKE CARS, JUST FAKE PEOPLE!" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif
