Just got back from the Starbird auto show at Tulsa and there was a really good '69 Yenko (Clone) 72 with vinyl roof. The paint was lousy and not rubbed out like it should be.

I was Impressed that they had done that much to make a copy of the cars.

S/N -N510457 is to early for a 69 Yenko according to Ed's webpage.

If I counted right the number is 53 vinyl top Yenko Camaros in '69. I know some of the cars don't get the top put back on during resto due to owner preference. Here's the link and you can add for yourself. http://www.copo.com/L72-Options-Yenko-Camaro-Colors.htm

That's a pretty nice looking clone. It's even missing the dreaded "caution" sticker on the fan shroud http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

When I first saw it I thought it might be the real thing. Thanks to this forum and the link to the Yenko S/N page I was able to tell quick that it was not a real car. It was a dam nice job though. Had the Yenko emblems on the outside of the car and all. I was supisious when I saw the rough edge's of the hood stripes. I know I sure would like to buy it if it was for sale. Real nice job.
