Hi, I have no interest in this car, but there is an Earnhardt Intimidator SS w/98 miles for sale by me. Email me at [email protected] for more info. Like I said, I have no interest in the car but thought someone here might be interested.

Oops, could a moderator move this to the sale section, sorry.

Why are you not interested? What car number is it?

What I meant was that I don't have an ownership interest or any relationship with the owner, I just saw it for sale and thought someone here might be interested. Here are the specs: 2001 Intimidator SS, #15 of 30, personally autographed by Dale, Sr. 98 miles, $60,000. Ph. 239-657-2563. Just trying to hel http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gifp it find a good home.

Thanks for the clarification.

Matt at GMMG took a keen interest in building the Intimidators in conjunction with the late Dale Earnhardt Senior. Some folks say it is the best looking late model Supercar produced to date and Not just a decal package.

Indeed, the car should find a good home.

BTW, there were 83 cars built in the series. Car # 13 was never built.

Yes, It is beautiful and the horsepower designation of 381 for all of the DEI cars was a great idea. Hope someone here takes advantage. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

#01 was a 2000 model and the first prototype(Sr and Jr debuted the first two prototypes at the 2000 Charlotte Winston cup race, with Sr blowing his engine and Jr smoking his brakes)Of the 30 signed cars,#1-28 are included with those two prototypes.#46,#50,&#52 were signed for California customers.

It should be noted that the legacy of these cars was furthered when Dale Jr won his first Daytona 500 on the third anniversary of his fathers passing, and the third anni of this cars production run.

This car is pretty far from a simple graphics package. It embodies the spectrum of the camaros evolution(Dale's father Ralph raced a 67 Z28 on short tracks) and Sr was very passionate about what went into this car.

These were only availible through DE chevy in Newton NC.Sadly he left before seeing any of his cars delivered, the production was cancelled and only 83 were built.History repeats and 60k will be peanuts in a few years,if you look at the allure of the Yenko/Gibb cars(who were hobbyist racers)how do you compare it to a chevrolet's most famous factory driver/dealer of all time?..not to mention how many more cup wins/championships Jr will add to it's history.Hindsight being what it is,how many of those 69 ZL1's were sold initially? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Thanks for your reply Late Brake. You seem to have a good grasp of these special cars.

I also own a Intimidator and have some info that might interest you. Please contact me at the following email address:

All of the GMMG cars will be considered a wise investment as time goes by. Rarity unto itself does not make something desirable. Quality and historical significance do. Matt Murphy has made an effort(and successfully in my opinion) to produce vehicles which are designed for both the performance enthusiast and the collector to enjoy now and in the future as these cars continue to increase in value. Each of the GMMG cars offers something to a wide range of enthusiasts depending on your particular tastes, whether it is an Intimidator, ZL-1, Tom Henry, Berger, Hot Rod or any other car they develop. Although I am obviously biased, I believe any of these cars will be a good investment.

By the way, Craig I hope all is going well.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Quality, integrity, and hard work are just a few of the traits that come to mind when I think of GMMG.

Craig,

I love the Phase II package. The car exudes raw power. There are very few production cars that can stay with it on the street. I'm glad we added the package to the car. Now, if I could only get another set of floormats...

Thanks guys for the kind words, but there are a lot of car nuts that work here and we all have the same passion. They also deserve the credit . . . http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

For those interested . . . Dale Earnhardt Inc. is having a series of car shows at the DEI Race Shop. Each show will focus on one car specifically, like a Camaro show, Corvette show, Monte Carlo show, etc. There will be only 100 cars per show allowed and some of the shows are sold out. Here is a link to what DEI is calling "The Legacy Chevrolet Show Series" http://www.daleearnhardtinc.com/content/legacy/series.aspx . . . It should be a great time, and Dale's shop is a work of art . . . trust me, I know . . . He was a trip to work with . . . a time in my life I'll never forget. Thanks for the memories Dale, Steve, Missy, Tom, Teresa and all of the great folks at DEI and DEC . . . I'll see you May 15th for the Camaro show . . . http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

George,

I have to ask....Why do you need another set of floor mats? Perhaps for the back seats? Matt should have included at least 2 fronts with your car.

Craig,

We should have sold two sets of mats with our cars because a lot of owners want to use a set and put a set away. To get more Intimidator SS's mats you would have to go through the Earnhardt Dealership and they to date will not sell any parts or pieces to those cars. The timing of Dales death and the issues after he died caused the dealership and DEI to destroy any extra pieces and they said that they would never sell any extra parts for these cars . . . even to owners. I tried to get them to keep extra parts in stock; but they said, NO. I can't blame them for what they went through, it was a bad time . . .

Craig,

Like Matt mentioned, I'd like to have an extra set to put in the car and another set to put away. I've never put the original Intimidator set in the car because I know I'll never get another set when these wear out.

George,

Same with me. My original mats are in cold storage and I keep just the DEC paper mats in the car. I picked up some extras when I was near Newton a few months back as they are fairly high quality. They're not like the cheap 'tissue paper' ones other dealers give out. I've actually had guys offer to buy them!

Matt.....

What other Intimidator specific parts are no longer available to original/current owners?

Craig,

Emblems mainly as they were the ones that the Earnhardts worried the most about with Dales signature on them. The air box sticker is not available, I can talk to them about floor mats and car covers. We can get the stripes, but they are just a little different . . .

Matt,

Thanks for the update. I'd like to have the second set of mats for my car and I'am sure George would as well. I can provide the GMMG brass tag number and the VIN if needed.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have a CCC on mine,to protect the Intimidator cover underneath it http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

The way it fits perfectly over the lines of the car and with that logo..if ever a ride looked bullet fast under a cover-
