Since the discussion of rarity and value has came up more than once here...I have a test...

This is a legit post, and I'm sure that quite a few of you guys will know the car I'm about to describe and can attest to it not being a "ghost,' or made up...The car in question is much rarer than a LS6 convert, much rarer than a COPO or Yenko.

This car is for sale:

Sorry.. The LS6 convert is at about the same price and between the two I would much rather have the LS6 convert. I myself would always put the LS6 convert at a higher value as the 69 is still just a 396 and Garnet Red is not my favorite color. Even if it had paperwork I would not be interested in it at 210 finished either. Of coarse I could buy it for 75K and then just do a quick rebody and be in it where I would be comfortable. I'm still not sure what point you are trying to make. We apparently are willing to pay for the LS6 convert so if the 69 was desirable enough why do you think we would balk ? This discussion is starting to suck....But there still might be some out there that this 69 will float their boat, just not mine.

I totally agree with you Charley, although I do like the Garnet Red color on the '69 Camaro. An LS6 convertible is just a lot more desirable car to me [I'd take any color]. But...to each their own, and it sounds like it would be a neat car when restored.
