View Full Version : CROSSRAM for Z28/POPULARITY!!!!!
I have a Z28 69, for the same car i have a complete crossram assembly, with the wide base air cleaner. I do also have a fiberglass hood as well!!
I bougth the car in 97, and from then to now i have noticed an increased interest in the CROSSRAM assembly,
Actually i get at least an email or two every second month abt. people wanting to purchase the whole set.
What has made this setup so interesting lately?, i of course know its a rare part, but anyways!

Really depends on who made the crossram. Is it a GM intake and is the hood and air cleaner both GM as well? The $$ is in the GM parts. You can get repo intakes from OFFY and the air cleaner and hood are also repo'd now as are the single carb cowl air plenum that runs to the firewall and soon to be the crossram cowl air plenum.

i think the popularity stems from the yellow z at barrett jackson getting so much attention, it was a crossram car and a jl8 car.

The crossram has always been a desirable item to put on a Z28. With the internet, the prices have risen considerably and now it's getting difficult to find someone who really wants to sell their crossram parts. When I first started looking for a crossram for my other JL8 car 5-6 years ago, you could get a complete setup for $4200. That was expensive back then, but now it takes $12K or higher to buy a setup.
I am of course having, and thinking abt. the original GM pieces!
I know when i bougth my Z, the seller wanted to give me around a 3500 US $ rebate if he could take the XRAM of the car.
Today that would of course be a steal!
As stated i have a complete intake/hood, but the prices on this parts starts to get stiff, "its an over the counter dealer item". But i have to admit its nice to have something that is desirable to so many others.
