Man they just keep on coming back http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I would not even bothered to respond
DON’T waste your time http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
Don't even reply. If they find that there is someone responding, they log the info and seel it. Not only do they try and scam for money, they sell the infor to people looking to commit identity theft. That is what has been published onother sites anyway.

Have him send you a check....Just make sure the check is real and that it clears before you even tell him where the car is. Let your bank know you are worried about the check and they will verify it for you.

I would be very careful! Also be leary of taking CASH! we had a guy here locally that sold a car and took cash and then went to the bank only to find out it was all counterfit currency! He is still working on it with the Secret Service to get this guy in custody and try to get his car back.I do not know what this old world is coming to with soo many crooked people out there.I would be very very careful!Just be careful and do not become another victim to the crooked people out there.I personally would contact my banker to see what is the best way to do this to keep from getting ripped off. Then contact the buyer to see if he can do as your bank represenative wants it to be done.If the buyer can not do that I would PASS ON THE SALE TO THIS PERSON!

Dan,
As a person in the financial biz.....I would advise you proceed with the greatest of caution. The note you rec'd has urgent written all over it. WARNING! When has any car deal you have ever been involved with had to be done by a specific time? Not to mention, be very careful as far as wire transfers are concerned, they are one THE easiest ways to launder money and that is something nobody wants to be caught up in. If I can be of any assistance or answer any questions, please feel free to PM me.
..would a United States Postal Money order be a safer way?
...I know other money orders can be conterfeit http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gifed...
I am from Norway, and am very very into the car biz here, i have never heard abt. this man,
Everyone knows enveryone in this biz here in norway, and as i said i havent heard of this guy, The name wasnt exactly a norwegian name either!!
Be careful!

When i receive cash for parts sold or a car, i check for counterfeit. Go to office depot or staples and buy a currency marker, and it will tell you if it is fake. Businesses use these all the time. Roger

Department of Transport ownerships are also being altered from "Salavge" to "Clear" or brand "None" or no "Branding". It happened to a Deal I had on an "Expedition" .Had to repurchase and re-import the vehicle to Canada after I sold it to a third customer with MTO paperwork that the Department says may take 2 months to update sometimes, and they don't take any responsibilty. So look out!!! these guys are getting help from people "inside $$$$". What a headache!

Yes Sir you did. And lucky for me you turned out to be an honest man! But considering we are competitors in the same industry, you and I both knew how to find the other. Besides, I went to Vette Fest in Nov and I had more than one person tell me they would vouch for you. As I too, will now tell anyone.
For those who care, there is a good side to a wire transfer. The funds must be available in the buyer's acct prior to the wire being sent. Better yet,the receiving bank considers those funds "same day"... in other words, when the wire hits your bank, the money is yours. No holding/waiting period applies the way it would with a check.
PS- Jeff,I thought I might drive your baby to the grocery tomorrow. Gonna rain but I figure she could use a good rinsing off after sitting in the barn all winter. OK with you right?

Tom
Thanks for the reminder! But "SLOW DOWN"??????? Now that's funny! Maybe I should explain...at 2347.miles on the new truck, the check engine light came on last night. On Star says there is something wrong with the fuel line. Not wanting to cause farther damage, I didn't feel it wise to drive the truck 40+ miles this a.m. And, because the cops are just a bit too familiar with Muffin, I had no choice but to take the "other" Camaro.
Well, by the time I was done at the grocery store, and the grain elevator the trunk was full. Not to worry, the two bales of hay I picked up from a local farmer fit perfectly in the back seat. The real trouble came when I stopped at an antique store and discovered the rocking chair I simply had to have wouldn't fit in the passenger seat. However, a farm girl is never without baling wire and in a few minutes that ole rocked was anchored solidly on the roof.
I got home,(without getting arrested this time)unloaded the car and put her back just like she was never out...I got most of the hay out of the back. The scratches left by the rocker and baling wire are hardly noticeable after I hit them with a little bit of rubbing compound. And the trunk looks real good too since I hosed it out to get rid of the mess the exploded soda cans made.
Don't spend that bail money yet... After such a good trip, I think I am going to drive her to a hog roast tonight. You know, one of those deals where everyone drives out to the middle of a big field......

Hmmm...looks like Annie has a touch of wise donkey in her!!!I'm gonna have to meet you some day !!!We could gang up on Charley. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/CharleySucks.gif
Annie...........you didn't back into any ditches or drive through any medians with Jeff's car did you?
If not, it should be intiated like some other members cars should it not? Or maybe the trip to the grocery and feed stores with the side trip to the antique store could be considered an intiation?

WOW. I knew that car looked familiar. Was that you? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif I thought Jethro had traded the old truck for a Camaro and lost Granny at the last stoplight! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
So when did you weld the trailer hitch to the bumper? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif I knew we had talked about a fifth wheel ball on the roof but I guess your welding classes must have required some "homework" huh? Don't worry Jeff....she did a great job http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif(barely noticable) and only plans to pull the horse trailer, not the car hauler. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ann,
Based on our conversation the other night, I can vouch for you never taking the Camaro out but don't you think you should come clean with Jeff regarding the dogs? I know it was cold out but 3 dogs in the back seat of that car versus out in the yard is a little much don't you think. Now tell him how the scratches REALLY got there. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
Rick
Scratches? I wouldn't worry about them. A little polishing and they will surely come out.
It's the smell in the interior.
Jeff, do you own a pooper scooper?
Also, do you own any stock in Lysol & Mr. Clean?
I had to turn away when that big dog was in the seat and lifted his leg over the steering wheel....... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Rest easy Jeff....
Your '69 baby is having a fun week! Since the two Sat trips went so well,I have been driving her to work this week. As you are aware,I am only one of 3 women in an office of 24. You should be proud of your car!!!!! She is a big hit with the guys (I am sorry to say the other two women just don't "get" cars)anyway....the guys have been using thier lunch hours trying to figure out how to properly do a burn out. I have had to go out there every day this week and demonstrate but I think they are finally catching on. Tomorrow we are having a week's end contest....the shortest burn out has to put gas in the car and buy me lunch. Since 83 oc is only about 1.60/gal I figure they should have enough left over for a fairly nice meal.
Sleep well Kid, the tires will be bald but the body ain't look'n too bad..that rubbing compound stuff is awsome... Heck,it even takes the paint off! Not to worry,I have a can of touch-up paint around here somewhere.

Jeff,
I know you've been taking a lot of grief over the car lately but I wanted to let you know she's alive and well. Ann has driven it a bit but it hasn't suffered any ill to speak of; nothing a little TLC won't take care of. So to put your mind at ease I snapped this picture earlier tonight. Hopefully after seeing this you'll be able to sleep a little better. Don't be concerned about it sitting on a trailer. Ann ran a little short of fuel on the way home but a quick call to one of the neighborhood farmers and it was on their trailer lickety-split and headed
back to the barn. The horses seem to like the traction compound and have licked almost all of it off the rear quarters. Rest assured it's in good hands so there's no rush to move the car. If necessary we can even flat tow it to Collinsville behind Ann's enclosed trailer. (Is it OK to weld some tow bar brackets to the front bumper?) http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Dennis http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif
WOW Dennis, that picture is proof that it's looking much better from when I saw it last.

Rick, perhaps you should. Ann asked if she could get into my shop for a quicky but when I found that a lot of the NOS and coded parts had been removed, I declined as they just eat up too much $$ trying to locate them.
Being around horses all my life I expected the worst but the picture actually looked better then when I saw it last. That paint has NOT held up well in that cold, damp barn.
