If you were able to check, what was the original color on the DH Camaro and what color was it now?

Along the top of the cowl on the passenger's side is the partial VIN stamped into the body. It might be pretty rusted and tough to read. If the blower motor is still mounted to the firewall, remove it and check just below it on the firewall for the partial VIN there as well. Good luck.

It would have been nice to see the pic of the tag in the context of it being attached to the dash. So you took one tiny pic of the tag but no pics of the car to show us ? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

i aplogize for my ignorence
i have went back to see car, with the help from others that have given me some ideas to verify a few things here are just a few to exclude it from being copo
car has small block heater core outlet placment and also mono rear leif springs

Although you say it is not a COPO,it could still be a DH prepared Camaro...No?
I remember the Chad B./Steve S. 1970 DH Camaro was originaly a Small block car, with a 454 implant later on.
It still has a Small Block radiator, and leaf springs in it now,if I'm not Mistaken.
Couldn't this be another Dick Harrell prepared Camaro, like the other one, albeit a year earlier?

It may still be worth looking into. Somebody might have swapped out the rear with springs at some point in time. A dealer emblem is one thing, but the "Built by Dick Harrell" tag seems to have more meaning.

Especially if it's a brand new DH emblem and rivets from a crumbling rust bucket sitting in a junk yard in Wisc.

So you have a digital pic that you took of the tag but you are waiting for film to develop of the car ? The pic you posted looks identical to the one on Kevins site except some tears appear to have been added. Is the pic you posted a pic of the ACTUAL tag on the car ? This is getting tiring.

Don't take it the wrong way. We were under the impression that the tag was a picture you took. So if you're saying the tag looks just like that one, it could still be a car worth investigating. Sounds like it would take a miracle to save it, but it could have an interesting history to it.

...Yea, Don't get upset....show us the photo of the tag on the car...and you will get more help figuring this car out...walking away doesn't solve anything.
