I know this is a bit out of the norm for this site, but I'm trying to spread the word to anyone who might be able to help.
I was informed today that a friend had a 632" BBC shortblock stolen from his home recently, and as of yet there are no leads.
The block is a Merlin Pro Race tall deck block with a Lunati crank, GRP rods and Venolia 14* pistons. It also has a Jesel belt drive and a heavily modified Moroso aluminum oil pan.
There are 2 distinguishing features; the block is stamped with "BES" (Bischoff Engine Service) and the back of the block where it seals to the end rail of the intake is chipped and has been epoxy repaired.
This occured in the SW part of Ohio near the Xenia area, so if anyone is from around there, please let me know if anything like this shows up on the market. I can be emailed at: [email protected] in regards to this matter.
I don't know if any reward is available, so I'm asking for the help of our fellow enthusiasts to help my friend get his parts back.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.
Eric
