Well, just thought that I should bring this subject up again . . . the guy who has the 69 Yenko Camaro that's just sitting in his yard.
What's up with this dude? Why won't he sell? I think I'm gonna at least go look at that Camaro; maybe poke and prod him a little. I wouldn't even know what to offer him as a price. What do you all think is a "fair" price? I know it's probably hopeless, but I might as well try. It's better to have tried and failed, than to have never tried at all. And maybe if I can't get it, I can get you all some more info on it . . .

Considering it's St. Patrick's Day bring a bunch of four leaf clovers. Motown was pretty confident he could talk the guy into selling. That was a while ago. And we know how well that went cause your going to go look at the car.
Maybe he thinks the offers are too high. Trying going lower. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif Of course I'm kidding.... Don't get a knuckle sandwich.

Maybe if I play the "poor college kid who doesn't have much money" routine. I better think up some pretty good lines.

Dig deep into the college fund. Last offer i am aware of was $60,000. Good luck! The car is worth more to him than money. Roger
I hear he Majored in Sociology! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Why is the car worth more to him than money?
And mr70, you have to be yankin' my chain. He did not major in Sociology did he? I'm sorry, but I don't think I could combat a Sociologist. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Consider your chain yanked. I was not personally involved with any of the encounters with the owner. But based on the exchanges on the site the car must hold some personal value that money cannot replace.
Or he is just plain mean! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How old is this guy? Could it possibly be a former relative's car? I could sypithize with him on that note, as my Dad passed away quite some time ago.

Thanks for the link.
I knew that I saw this discussion, but I couldn't find it on the site.
Wow, I just had a moment of deja vu reading a post when I heard this line, "I believe in the destiny concept, so if the car ends up owned by someone else, or remains in the current owners hands, that is just the way things are supposed to turn out. What is to be will be.... and what is not wont."
Strangely enough, that's the exact same thing my mom has told me for years on end. Is it destiny calling?

Talk to Motown before trying to make a move on the car. He can give you what info he has on the situation. Good luck!!!!
