Hey guys, check out this auction I have going on Ebay with another hour left. I was hoping to get $50 for them, thats what I paid on Ebay about 8 months ago. I think this is another in a long list of indicators that there is no end to the muscle car frenzy that has thrown common sense to the wayside. Looks like it's time to go bone yard hunting.

I'd be careful you might be rubbing it in the nose of some of your customers!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

At least you didn't have to be a pre-approved bidder and the caps are in Michigan.

Matt,
Thanks for putting the nice set of dog dish hubcaps up for auction. I ended up the highest bidder, but it wasn't easy with two other gents right on my tail. Since I took the price up to where it ended, how about buying me a beer!?! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Tony,
I have to get used to where this is all going, it is a nice set, go ahead and take enough out of the total I send you later to buy a case of your favorite beer.
Thanks,

As much as I enjoy watching the price of my cars and parts go up, I believe that this will end like most other run ups in price of any number of things. I don't see why this should be any different. I think if you do it because you love the cars you will be ok, but if you are getting in now, and viewing it as an invesment, i don't know. Just my 2 cents and probably an unpopular view.

RVR, Actually, funny you should mention that as that Vette is still available and I am getting ready to list it again. Considering what it costs these days to build a car to meet SCCA specs, the reserve on that Vette of 19K really isint such as bad deal. As a bonus over and above building costs, that car does have some interesting and noteable race history. Of everyone here you know what it costs to construct and maintain one of these road race cars. Spring is here as of today, wont be long before the fever sets in of the feeling of coming out of a corner pushing sideways in a well prepared Vette as you are passing a Boss Mustang. That is almost as good as the smell of Napalm in the morning. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

OK Mo don't get carried away!! Your not Robert Duvall! If I recall right you were just a young lad walking around Woodstock during the height of Viet Nam! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Do you own that car or does Sak ??

Sak sold the car to a young racer named Tim something I believe, he did rather well with it for about 5 years then he sold it to a Detroit Police Detective who never put it on the track. He has now moved on to different aspirations and has no time for it.
