The "Who agrees with me thread" got me thinking. Don't know if this has been done before but considering how many new members we have let try it.

What is your favorite Supercar or Musclecar of all time? (GM, Ford, Mopar or whatever)

Now I have to take some time to think of mine.

I sure am partial to this one. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I wouldn't throw this one out of my garage either. Possibly the coolest Chevelle ever built IMO. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

Mine would have to be the 1970 Chevelle SS 454.

This is really tough when you love them all http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I would have to say a 1962 Pontiac Catalina SUPER DUTY Hardtop with all the lightweight goodies http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Besides the Vintage Obvious...I have to include the New Ford Mustang GT to the list.
I like It! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

It has been debated whether any were really sold but a '64 Chevelle with the L-76 327/365hp motor would be very cool.

If we are talking SUPER cars, then Grand Sport Corvette, GT-40 and 427 Competition Cobra. After that, hard to beat a 1969 Yenko Camaro. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Geez this is brutal. 68 Hemi Dart, 70 AAR Cuda, 1967 Shelby GT500 and SD Catalina are all favorites of mine.

I am going to pick the 1967 427 Corvette convertible. My opinion, the styling still looks fresh to this day. The cockpit has the greatest aircraft stylings. And a stump pulling engine to boot.

Boy this was tough. Ask me next week and it will probably be the Maverick Grabber. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I love the 67 chevelle SS cars best!then the 69 Camaros especially a super car Yenko,Nickey,Dana,Berger,motion,ZL1,Z28,1969 Dart Swinger 340 car,Any Hemi powered Car!I think the question is just too hard to pick just one because there are just too many desireable Classic Cars. You can see the different variety of cars so far from the few that has posted.Maybe the question should be is to list the order of clasic cars you desire the most.

Shelby Daytona coupe. Still the only US manufacturer to win the FIA world championship.

Would go w/Daytona Coupe, too. Musclecar-wise, would take Wangers' old '64 Goat. Dealer supercar would be Yenko Nova or '70-'73 Phase III Camaro.

69_BM_LS7

For a musclecar I would go with a daytona yellow 69 Camaro, ordered through Baldwin, modified by Motion as a Phase 3 with an LS7 installed. I know I am biased.

supercar...i would have to say a 69 copo/yenko 4 speed car. as far as a muscle car. I would like to find another
daytona yellow 69 ss 396 4 speed convertible camaro.
i drove one everyday from 1985 to 1990 and of all my cars i think i miss that one the most.

Really tough question! Maybe a 69 B-M L-88 powered Phase 3 Nova. The Mopar test car dubbed "The Silver Bullet" 68 GTX with a 486 inch stroked HEMI. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

My favorite supercar of all time has to be the 68 Dick Harrell Chevelle now owned by LVCamaro. It's been my favorite since the first time I saw it... The epitome of looks, originality, muscle, and rarity. I'm sure there are many bolts on that car that were last turned by Dick Harrell himself... a true time-capsule car I could (and have!) spend hours just looking at! I can't think of a cooler car anywhere. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Personal favorites: A-990 Mopars, '68 Hurst converted Hemi Dart/Cudas, Thunderbolts, ...anything w/ acid dipped / fiberglass front fenders ala the early-mid 60's S/S wars. '87 GNX and the possibility that there were a couple of Stage 2 Buicks that escaped GM's crusher...as well as many others, too numerous to mention.

But..I'm a died in the wool 2nd gen F-body fan and it would be a toss-up between a 73 SD-Formula and for my ultimate "Holy-Grail"...'70-73 Phase III Motion Modded RS Camaro!!!!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

My top 10, in no particular order, save for the first 2:

1) `57 Belair 283 F.I. car, black on black

2) `57 Nomad. 1 of my dream cars

3) `64 Dodge 330 (so ugly they're cool)

4) `66 L72 Corvette

5) `67 Chevelle L78, triple black

6) `67 RS Camaro

7) `69 ZL1 Camaro

8) `70 LT1 Camaro

9) `70 LS6 Chevelle

10) `65 Z16 Chevelle

My absolute dream cars would be:

`57 Nomad-- slammed in the weeds, Torque Thrusts, black on black, 502 crate motor with EFI and a 4L80E, and of course all the creature comforts. My ultimate daily driver. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

`67 Chevelle L78 *clone*, built somewhat along the lines of a modified production (i.e. along the current "F.A.S.T." theme)car. 500+" motor dressed out to look like an L78 backed up by a 4-speed. Brutal fun with the reliability of an anvil.

*sigh*

Maybe one day. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

60's muscle cars:
1.64 Thunderbolt, ugly car, runs like a raped ape, very trick and the more you look at it the more trick stuff you see on the car. A family friend, who is a major ford colletor has two of these, one is auto and one is a 4-speed.
2.Kevin Hands 69 Yenko Nova!!!!!

Mosport, you are defineatly right about that! I read somewhere that 4 or 5 of them have changed hands to a 2nd owner and I think they said they all went in the 1.5 million range, not a bad investment if you could have been one of the first owners for 700K-750K range! A friend of mine has a 03 Porsche 911 twin turbo and the place he bought it sold a Enzo, the guys at the dealership told him that a oil change costs $850 and he took it to a track day and cooked the brakes, new pads, discs, and laber for the brake job was $24,500! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

Favorite muscle car that was built: 68 Nova SS396 L78.
Favorite muscle car that should have been built: 69 Nova SS427 L-72 http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Favorite Supercar that was built: 1968 BM Phase III SS427 Nova "Twighlight Machine". Wish I knew what happened to that car.
Favorite Supercar that I would have ordered: 1969 MB Phase III w/ZL-1, sidepipes, tourqe thrust, stinger hood, black w/white viynl top, white interior, 4.10 12bolt rear. Oh boy that would be fun!

Many other muscle cars would follow the nova, 2nd would be 69 Hemi Charger:red w/white bumble bee stripe, 70 Hemi Challenger: vitamin C orange, with black center stripe and black viynl top, 1967 Fairlane GT w/427! 428 cobra jet Mustang, 1970 Buick GSX in Saturn Yellow http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif , Super Duty Trans Am: love that body style, and way under rated motor.

Oh I could go on and on.

Aside from the obvious Supercars (dealer cars: Motion, Berger, Yenko, etc.) and the obvious Shelby stable, I'd have to say that I would go back to 1970 and order up an LS6 Chevelle, black with white stripes, black interior, M-22, 3:73 or perhaps 4:10 Posi. Remove and store the LS6 and put in an LS7 with aluminum heads, Hookers, etc., and put on a set of 15" American 5-spokes, 8-inch back, 6-inch front. Oh, and plenty of Sunoco 260 at 35 cents a gallon.
