Looks like a cool car. I love those pin stripes that follow the body line on that car. What does everybody else think?

I think they must have been dealer installed or added later(?) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Chevy would allow 2 separate stripe options on the same car... Maybe it was possible on a Z since the hood and deck stripes were standard? Not sure on that one... where's the 69 Z experts? I agree Frank, they look cool regardless... so does the rally green paint and flat hood! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Yes two stripe options were available on a Z, when the RS appearance package was ordered. I have seen a few 69 Z28/RS Camaro's with the Ralley stripes and the fender stripes. I have also seen 69 RS Camaros with the fender stripes including the DX1 stripes. A 69 Z11 included the ralley stripes and the fender stripes.
It wasn't possible to order the hockey stripes with the fender stripes.

I have also seen an original paint 69 RS with those pin stripes as well. Hey if I am not mistakeing didn't a couple of Camaros have them in the imfamous Yenko radioactive storage yard pic?

Frank, theres no doubt the fender striping was available, I just wasn't sure it could be had in addition to Z stripes on anything other than a pace car. And yes, some of the camaros in my Yenko holding lot photos DO have fender pinstripes, it was included on the X11 trimmed cars. Scott, I love that frost green SS350 too by the way! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Joe, I believe you are correct. Pin striping was not available Z28, or the SS.The only exception being the pace car.

Scott... you had the car on Camaros.net right? Love the color!

The Corvette you posted is a 1967 Convertible. Ralleys, pipes, L-79... what other options does it have? Is it for sale too?

What is a Yenko "deuce"(I know Yenko didn't do '32 Fords)? I'm running across a lot of nice cars(just got a sweet '68 RS/SS convertible)in my search for the Superbird. If I see what you're after I'll forward the info(at no fee, non the less!) I wish I would have seen the post about the '69 T/A, what kind of shape was it in?

Thanks for the heads up. Why was the car named the Deuce?

Kirkham 289 www.kirkhammotorsports.com (http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com) They produce the cars(the aluminum car, SAI get the glass cars elsewhere) that Shelby American(SAI) badges and sells as Shelby Cobras. My car came straight from Kirkham and doesn't not have a CSX #.

"Chevy II" former name of the Nova...II = 2 = Deuce

Here is a pic of my friend's 64, it has a ZZ4 and runs low 12's. Not a Yenko though!

The "deuce" is a refrence to when they were called chevy II's. Before the nova name change.ie: in playing cards the 2 is a deuce. Chevy II= deuce. Yenko deuce. Schonye
