Went to the show in Van Nuys this weekend. On Friday a group of us got to see a taping of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. After the show Jay met us over at his shop and gave us a tour. Nicest car guy you could ever meet. He knows every detail about every car and bike he has and you can tell he knows how to work on them. His shop is only a couple miles away from the NBC studio and he drives something from the shop there everyday. Friday he drove a Lamborghini Muira S to the show and back. I told him about my Yale Motorcycle and he later showed me a similar carb on one of his bikes and pointers on the workings of it. He spent about a hour and a half showing us his stuff. I asked him if the story was true about him sitting in traffic on his turbine powered bike watching in the rear view mirror as the front bumper on the car behind him started to melt and both he and one of his mechanics confirmed it really happened. Great guy and very quick witted. Before I post some Mopar pics, here is my tiny moment of hanging out with Jay that I just gotta show you.

Here are three Hemi Cuda converts. I would guess the value in that tent to be 5 mil plus. Pretty cool to see them together.

Charley,

-------Not being up on all things Mopar, can that interior treatment possibly be an original one? I suppose the owner wouldnt put something together that wasnt correct in this situation, but come on, it really has an odd look to it. To top it off where would you go to see another one to figure out all the nuances such as the seat backs?..........Bill S

Did he do his Elvis impersonation for you?I hear it is dead on.
Can you tell us,or show us what Chevrolets he has in his collection?
I never see any Chevys when they showoff his cars.
I love that Interior! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Yes that is the stock interior. The car has all its paperwork. The three Cuda converts are owned by two different People in Phoenix-Scottsdale. Here is a pic of me driving it right before I backed it into a garbage can similar to the one in the background. Smart guy that I am.

Jay did not have too many Chevys in his collection. He has lots of stuff from the thirtys etc and alot of bikes and newer stuff like a Maclaren F1. He has a Hemi Challenger given to him by Garth Brooks. Steam cars, vintage race motorcycles, Duesenbergs, electric cars from the early 1900's, too much stuff to list. I won't post any pics of his stuff as he does not want pics showing up in magazines or tabloids.

The best way to see inside Leno's garage, if you're not Charley (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/CharleySucks.gif), is to take a peek at the book I listed over on the discussion of Garages, Garages, Garages:

Wow those mopar colors and graphics stand out. When you make your journey to Carlisle we will remove all trash cans from the grounds to prevent you from crashing any cars. Sounds like you had a great time ...thanks for sharing.

Charley was the pale yellow Daytona in the background a Hemi car? If so, it's my old car. That would make it two of my old yellow Hemi cars at that show. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Boy, I can't believe they let Charley in to a Mopar event! How did that happen? Did you back in to make it look like you were leaving? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Nice pictures of some sweet cars.

Charlie;
was the Superbee from Arizona? If so, I think this may be the same car. This car also had the lift off six-pack hood and red stripe tires. This was taken at the Cruise on Central that happened on April 10th. This is a capture from my short video of some of the cruising action. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
