Howdy,
I need to share a new car I found last week and have been trying to get home all week; one of those deals that has you a wreck before it’s done,

Anyway it was spring break up here last week and we decided to take the kids on a Train ride up to B.C. for a couple of days and visit there really neat Aquarium they have,

long story short I spied this car in a pen behind a warehouse in a industrial park on the way up to B.C from the train, talk about mess a guys weekend up, had to sit up there and wonder what the deal was with the car, well I found the car on Mon when I came back and struck a deal on the car but the right front disc caliper was off the car for a rebuild as it had decided to puke fluid past the seals, and the seller was a crotchety old foreman, took all week of babysitting this guy to get the car back together and bleed the brakes so I could run it around the business park.

What we have is a ’67 Custom Coupe Caprice, 396 325hp, T-400, 12-bolt posi, Power Disc brakes, A/C, power windows, deluxe interior I think its called a strato bench seat.
Motor is numbers match and rebuilt, it has a black repaint that was about a 9 it was pretty nice but the guy shared the garage with the kids and it has a few scratches that go to bare metal, UGH!

Here are a few pics from this week from the pen it was in and just after I washed a major amount of dust off it, story I have gotten is it has been layed up for the past 20 years in a Garage in Spokane which is the desert part of our state, and he had to do a quick sale due to a divorce, I hope to catch up with him but he left this guys Co. as a driver a couple of weeks ago, as all the paperwork that was supposed to be in the trunk is not there, most of the rest of the car looks like it is there but still apart from the repaint. Don’t pick on her to much I just got it home this afternoon, after I hit it with the buffer she should look pretty good except for the scratches.

Special Thanks to Denis for helping me decode the thing as the real deal while on the run from a cell phone while I was at the car and him on the net surfing, that was kinda fun actually! added a little more excitement to the hunt.

And also to Rick for his help as well on big car knowledge and advice,

Cheers to another one saved, Bud. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

9- swung around the block and stopped by Denis's place for a visit and to show him the rig for the first time and found some trim rings and Disc Brake Baby caps collecting dust http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif,

now if Charley was just up the road with the steam cleaner and the interior guy was the other way a little I would be a even happier guy, I am beat, man the highs and lows of chaseing cars can wear a fella out,

Bud.

Looks great. It's amazing what a set of rings and caps can do to a car. Great cruizin' car, especially with the air.

Bud,
That is a hell of a lot nicer then the way you made it sound and certainly MUCH nicer then the parts car I turned you onto! Nice find! Enjoy.

Have you applied for your Captain's license yet? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Its a pretty nice old car, I really did not need to spend the money on it as the Camaro needs a pile injected into it this summer but I have been wanting a big car cruiser for awhile and this was to cool and clean to pass up, I will be looking to you to sign my Captains papers once a log some time in her,

the plan is to cruise as is this summer chasing parts and such and gather some of the odd parts needed to bring her back, had a few thumbs up on the way home and when I was getting some fuel to make it home on a guy rolled by in his '65 Vette and about broke his neck getting a look at it as he went by, it was kinda funny, those checkered Flags out front on the fender grab your attention, Gotta run and call Tom and see what we can work out.

See ya,Bud.

Looks like a great find! Just right for some light resto. and TLC. Probably will be nicer than most cars you see at the cruise night for what you have into it. Have fun!!! Sam http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

what do you East Coast guys say - Bahda Bing! nice garage kept '67 Belair until recently, she is going to trade some of here really nice parts for the middle of the road stuff from the Caprice.

The Camaro is the one in my signature, and if I stop playing with the big car it should be freshened up by the end of summer.
The plans for the new car are, its giving up its pristine chrome stuff and guage cluster and misc doo dads back and forth from the Caprice, then she is headed down the road whole or in a bajillion pieces on e bay, hate to see that but it is probably worth more apart, as I have learned not a lot of this stuff is repoped yet,DOH! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif here we go again.
