Looks like a scam to me. No location and deposit must be by Money order only.

I think that one keeps getting recycled on E-Bay...

What’s funny is the seller does not know him self http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif what is a real Yenko
It shows that there are a lot of un- educated people out there including
The seller The sad part is who ever wins this car will think he has a real Yenko http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

That's "original" alright...can't say I've ever seen another like it. Can't say I've ever seen a shade of yellow so unappealing outside of a French's squeeze bottle either. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It's even got the super rare sYc logo in the center of the dash option... I think only one or two of them got that and they were both Z28's.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm not even sure the seller is actually the "owner" of this car... I think it may be a scam auction entirely, as Charley noted. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when i looked at this auction earlier, it was not an "approved bidders only" listing. scam alert, i bet its pulled before sunrise. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

There has to be some type of scam going on. The auctions are always 1-day listings, the bidder must always contact the buyer first to be pre-approved and the sellers always have 100% positive feedback, but everything they've auctioned in the past is totally unrelated. A few weeks ago it was the Green '69 COPO Camaro, then the '68 Yenko Camaro that was originally sold out of Jay Kline Chevrolet in Minnesota. These two auctions actually looked more convincing than this "REAL" 69 Yenko SC Z/28 350 Camaro auction.

Anybody else happen to see the other two auctions I'm referring about?

Look at the guy's feedback,he has only been a member since April! and has sold 52 items but only 15 positive feedback! This is a BIG SCAM!Someone will be ripped off big time if they send this fool any money! These type of people need to be rounded up and dealt with harshly!Maybe we could ship them all to IRAQ for targets or something!

Here's an auction for the said "Yenko" that ran two weeks ago. Faux Yenko (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2471689076&catego ry=6161) My bet is the scammers simply search completed auctions for high ticket items that didn't meet reserve, rob a few pictures and take it from there. The other auction has been pulled already. I'm curious, did anyone here notify ebay about this, or did they discover it as the MO of scammers and correct it themselves?

Hey bro, I think thats a different "French's Mustard Yellow" 69 Yenko clone... the first one had the black unpainted grill and chrome bumper. Its now invalid anyhow, so the scam theory was in fact correct.

Yeah you're right...they are different cars. No houndstooth or rare sYc dash package like Ed mentioned. The 2 builders must have went halfsies on a 5 gallon can of highway DOT yellow. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I've gotten similar letters back, it's his brothers/fathers car, passed away/inherited, im here in porta rico/melan/chile, etc etc, but you ever notice the bad english. If this guy has the nerve to put a scam like this together you would think that he would have the skills to use proper grammer.
