hi mickey,
sorry about the attachment. i don't know much about computers and thought it would be a sig. not an attachment. i was screwing around with attachments. the issue is an article about a gentleman who purchased 69 ss chevelle for the the purpose of running modified production and kept having it upgraded by motion to eventually run in the 10's. i know your looking for any info and i wanted to alert you. good luck mike

hey jeff,
it just so happens the car was from hawaii. it was an old drag car and has been in mass for the last 12 years. i think the car was white. i bought it off an ex marine stationed there. i kept the hawaii reconstructed vehicle and inspectionn sticker on the bumper. it came with a tach bracket that had "rons performance and speed shop". it was on honolulu. the car was actually owned by 2 brothers. heres a few more pics if your interested. mike

Were the brothers last name Inouye? The Brothers here have been racing Chevys for years!!!!!!. They are org from the Big Island (BI) and I have been told they were the ones with the BM car (I thought to be a Camaro) that sold new there. I can find out more info from my neighbor who has a good friend that visits all the time from BI, who is here this week. They are working on a Pro-Touring 65 Vette that will have just over 1000 HP to tap when they want to play.

Is this a Heater Delete car also?

Would love to see pics of the car and any articles that deal with it. Also on the Hawaii RECON permit. Its good for the life of the car which is how the car owners here get away with just about anything they want to do to a car. If you change tires or exhaust you need a recon permit then once its obtained the sky is the limit for ANY MODS to a car http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Forgot RON's is still in business and Ill ask them about the car this weekend when I make a trip down to them.

hi jeff,
the brothers were david and john D'olivera. they were from taunton massachusetts. the car was originally coded as lemans blue. when it came to the mainland it was white, had no hood and ran fenton solid mags all the way around. i'm trying to get the springs out right now. it rides like crap. the car actually was optioned with air condition and rear defogger. everything had been stripped out before they purchased it. had the 12 bolt with 4.88 gears and bolt on ladder bars. also had a fresh 396 and supposedly ran low 12's. the 2 seem to be quite the bs artists but there seems to be some truth. they stated it was owned and raced by some racer on the island when they purchased it. thanx mike

sorry to get off track mickey, i haven't forgotten about you. if i have a problem getting the article scanned, if you really need the info i might be able to go to the library and photocopy them. i have a large collection of magazines and always pick up any 69 motion, berger, nickey, yenko articles. the problem is i have so many it takes me quite a while to find anything. mike

-------Yup, got to watch those railroad track crossings. My cousin had a set on his side-oiler 67 GT500 Shelby and had to cut flattened sections out weekly as he couldnt bring himself to raise the front end of a Shelby and couldnt afford to change them out.............Bill S
