If it sells for what he is asking...I may just sell all of my camaro stuff before the bubble pops.... Scary This would be a world record price for a COPO. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I saw that car listed last week. I want to say the price is way too high, but you never know anymore. Someone who wants that particular color and interior may step up and buy it.

I'm not a lover of Black cars, but this one certainly turns my crank. Very, very nice.

Looks like the owner turned the air cleaner lid to line up the decals with the angle of the engine picture http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Excuse me for my ignorance as im just getting into the supercar market, but what would be a good price for a car such as this?, and how does it compare to yenkos or baldwins?

Hello, Every one, sorry I have been out of the box, I have been very busy. I (even thought I don't have the $$$) I would see a price of 175K as OK if it had the rarer CX/TH400, as a black COPO looks freakin' lethal. As it stands with a 4-speed and all equipment being original (You would need the service of the COPO historian Ed Cuneen), And all paperwork in order, I could see 150k being a legit offer................Joel http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

I don't think I have ever seen a automatic car bring as much as a 4 speed. The car appears to be restored incorrectly without the Smog equipment so I wonder what else is not correct. Nice color and options.

I think I'd pay MORE for an auto...sure makes it easier at the track, especially when we're running on the skinnies! In fact, I've had sick thoughts of sticking an auto in my Y-Chevelle, if/when I can ever get it put back together! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yes, I'm the 1 in 100 that *values* a slush-box car more. But then again, those other 99 guys don't run low-mid 12s on the skinnies...http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

If the documentation is real and the car is all number matching I would say he is correct for asking 175. The market on our cars has been going up at a pace equal to good residential real estate. When I use that comparison the recent appreciation makes sense.
Also, I've had a prior deal with Randy Blythe in Ft. Smith. He gets some very special cars, asks top of the market and holds his ground. In my opinion Blythe has done a real good job of getting up and holding up the market.
