Check this ad for a 70 LS5 Chevelle convertible. I don't know where this guy came up with the production numbers he has listed. He says that there were 95 LS6 convertibles built. Does he know something that no one else knows? Also, in the ad they say it is an automatic but on their website they say it is a 4 speed.

I don't think the auction is a Scam, and the Car is for Real. It's been talked about on the web before.
Thats the 28 mile LS6 Featured in The Dupont Registry in July 02 & Russo-Steele Auction Jan. 03.It was on Ebay with the same pix too.The Name & Phone numbers the seller is showing are the same as from back then. They wanted $295,000..

Rick has this car had any work at all? Seller has listed it as "Vehicle Condition Absolutely Brand New". Pretty impressive. What is the history on this car? How has it made it thru with only 26 miles?

Very carefully....
It was bought as a collectors item from the begining. The original owner saw High Compression engines were on the way out,so he thought it was going to be a collectors item one day.He stored,it,and sold it to this Man in 1987.He has 3 Warehouses full of Collector cars.He is a nice man to talk to.
Those General Tires really stand out, don't they OrigLS6! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Sorry, not meant to get off topic.

This is incredible! This is the genius that we all have wished to be. The one with the insight to grab some cars, park them and let them get ripe. Are you saying the guy who originally bought this car to collect has 3 warehouses of collector cars? Or is it the current owner? If it is the original owner you are speaking of I wonder what else he anticipated would be collectible and snapped up. This guy is my idol. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

-----I can verify much on this car as I have been very, very close to it over the years. I was actually in it for miles 16 thru twenty. When Tony recieved it, many years ago it was missing only the smog, and that has been correctly replaced. The car is the real thing as any who saw it in Scottsdale can attest. Oh, and the owner is the real thing too. A great guy!..........Bill S

How does a 26 mile car get to the point where it's emissions equip was removed? I'd hate to see what this would have fetched In a rarer color http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
