Mass Titles

There is a car on ebay that I have some interest in. The car is in Mass and the owner claims it has never been titled (therefore, he does not have one). He said that prior to 10 years ago, cars didn't need to be titled in MA. Sounds kinda fishy to me??? Can anyone shed some light on this for me? How would one go about getting a title for a car like this? Thanks in advance,

Some states did not have titles before a certain year. Call the ma registry of motor vehicles driver control unit in boston. Then you will have to contact people at your dmv and ask what they will require for you to register. Roger

Thanks Roger. I actually checked out the Mass DMV web site this afternoon and they did infact have a law that did not require a title. I'll contact them tomorrow to see what they have to say. Thanks again,
