That Baldwin Chev sticker does not belong on this car.

Other than that it is a nice "Motion" car. It must have been a early body as they sure used a different taillight setup on these body styles.

The first time I saw any Macos at Motion were in the 70's---The first article I have of Motion unvailing the Maco for conversions is '71 1/2-- so this would possibly be a late conversion if documented.-----

I live about 40 miles from Greenville SC and may be able to check this car out if anyone is interested. It would have to be in the next couple days because I'm going out of town Tuesday and won't be back for a couple weeks. Anyone interested can PM or email me at [email protected]. I noticed that the seller has several bad feedbacks.

Isn't weird that there is no "Reserve" set. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

According to the seller he wants to give you a chance to buy it for 12K, before he takes the car to B/J Auction to pick up 100k----------

I spoke to the gentleman with the car today. Told him his best bet was to work with Joel to get the car documented.
Can't believe it has no reserve!

I kinda like the chrome front bumper and the round tail-lights, but maybe double or triple setup- http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif car though--looks like he put a lot of work into it--

I looked at the car today. The owner said he is supposed to talk to Joel tomorrow. I asked to see the documentation he has. He couldn't find it. It is a nice car but needs some work to be show quality.

Here's mine, "photoshopped" to have 3 (it really has 69 Firebird tailights).

Having 1 on each side is the way that Silva did them... the creator of the Maco mold and the builder of the 3 original Motion Maco's.

I recall reading somewhere that the post Silva cars left the tail panel filled leaving the choice of tail light style to the discression of the builder/owner. Any input on that?

I think the Motion Maco's were customized to to customers taste--so I guess they were blank---

On any "kit" shipped out to people, the rear area was left blank. A popular style selected was the '69 Firebird. I know of 1 that has the 6 tailights like the real Mako Shark II show car.

I think this car is the white one that was on ebay a couple years ago. The white one was built by the boat co. using a Motion kit.

The seller keeps adding to the auction description. He says he received email that similar cars were auctioned for about $500K and more. I'll bet the other cars had documentation. I spent about 1 1/2 hours at this guys shop Monday looking at the car and talking to the owner. He never produced any documentation. He told me he was going to talk to Joel Tuesday morning. He told me he would email or fax me the documents on the car when he found them. I called him again today, Wednesday, to see if there were any updates. I was told he was going to talk to Joel at about noon today and he would call me back. I still haven't heard from them. I don't think there are now or will ever be any proof that this is a Motion modified car. I hope I'm wrong. I have about 20 pictures of the car for anyone that is interested. I can email them to anyone or post them here.

Actually only one of these cars is a Maco; the one on the left is a Phase III GT by Motion

I think in lieu of waiting for this guy to produce any documentation any interested party could just contact Reggie Fountain and Fountain Powerboats to have him verify the story about the car. It would be cheaper than spending the $1500.00 and he might have documentation of his own since he had the car done.....so the seller says.

Thats a very good idea...I don't think anyone would use a person such as Fountains name in a cock and bull story...but people will tell all kinds of dumb ass stories for $$$$.

The seller told me he has some type of paperwork from Reggie Fountain. He says he could never get Reggie on the phone so Reggie's secretary filled out the paper and Reggie signed it. He never showed me that paper either.
