Did this L78 car sell? What was the story on the cowl induction - home-made?
Thanks,

That L-78 really caught my eye too. Anyone have any more info on that one?

The 70 L78 cowl tag rivets don’t look right..
Probably changed during the restoration.
What did this car bring?

I do not know if the 70 L-78 camaro sold. Very neat car. The cowl plenum looked factory to me. It said one of 7 cars. It had no further documentation or explanation about this option. Roger

Sounds like about every car there had high reserves. Did any of the top cars there sell?

Tag on the "L-78" wasn't riveted, but attached with what appeared to be interior trim screws. I asked about info regarding the "believed to be one of seven", but didn't get much of an answer. I was also told there was some documentation on the black '68 SS/396 in the same tent, but never saw it after waiting around for some time.

Looking at the Mecum web site, I found this Daytona Yellow L78 car offered for sale, Lot #308.
L78 Auction listing (http://www.mecumauction.com/auctions/lot_detail.html?CART=10859772644218373&LOT_ID=SC05 04-14346)
Is this the same car? In the preview it has an open element air cleaner and an LS6 motor..

Sam,
I was wondering the same thing, Were there 2 Yellow L78 cars
For Sale at Mecum. I have never heard anything about a Cowl
Induction on a Second Gen Camaro unless it was Homemade. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

There was only one '70 L-78 there (at least on Saturday). This is this same one as in the promos, as the info card on the car stated it currently had an LS-6. I wasn't even able to verify that as the hose and wiring routing completely obscured the front pad.
