Sure sounds like a nice car. But it has the wrong wheels on it. 8" '69 rallys and also there was no stingray emblem on the fenders of '68's. Wonder what else is wrong with it.

This is a 1969 not a 1968 http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Stingray fender emblem it's correct for a 1969 Corvette.

This is listed as a '69, not a '68. Beautiful car. Looks like the Corvette twin of my Fathom Green/Green interior Z/28 (minus 140 hp).

This is actually a pretty nice car... Despite the low mileage, it's been partially restored. I doubt the engine is the original one installed in the car... Apparently the engine judge at Bloomington Gold felt the same way in 1990 when the car was presented there. I don't recall if the car has been through NCRS judging yet. Could probably stand to be taken apart and restored correctly. There was a good bit of documentation and the ownership history appeared pretty solid... I remember that the owner at the time did not have the correct protecto-plate for this car (it somehow got mixed up with another L-88 that he sold). Also appeared to be a real side exhaust equipped car as well which certainly helps the value.

Brian Henderson and I both had a chance to buy this car about four or five years ago for a lot less than the current asking price which is around $135,000 if I'm not mistaken. Still a great buy considering where L-88 prices have gone in the past six months.

I'm told that the car sold for close to the asking price... Headed for its new home in Australia
