Just put a set on my 69 Velle SS this winter. They are the only correct tire that is being reproduced for my car. No Uniroyal Tiger Paws and the Firestone Wide Ovals being redone are not correct for 1969. Kelsey is a good company to deal with http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I ordered a set and had to return 3 of them two months ago due to defects in the sidewalls. Two had slices in the sidewall from the trimming machine and the third had the white letters shaved so close to the sidewall that the letters were twice the size as the other tires' letters. Look carefully at the sidewalls and make sure you didnt get my returns. As for quality, once I got a good set, the tires looked great. The service by Kelsey tire was great also. They apologized profusely for the problems and immediately shipped out the replacements and sent a call tag for pickup. They refunded my credit card once they received the defective tires back. Glad to see you're not going the Polyglas route -NJSteve

I had the same situation with mine last fall. None in stock and had to wait until the first of the year. Must be quite a demand for them.

Nick (ACES070) - the F70's don't quite fill up the wheelwells of "OL' Blue" like the G70's, but really not noticeable. BTW - where the heck did that 69 L34 come from that I see in your signature????? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'd sure wish i would have started looking earlier, I'm gonna try and make it to the Fred Gibb Memorial unless i put on the mag wheels but its hard to beat the plain look for me.

Eddie:
Ditto on the Wide Tread vs. Polyglas. So many nice high $$ cars with incorrect white letter Polyglas.....

Please check your mail. You have a PM.

Maybe a member here might have a new repo tire that they could give you and then when the other tire comes you can replace it. Maybe there is a slow moving resto project that won't need its tires for a bit.
