Gotta love them Chevelles http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

What an incredibly preserved piece of history. Great set of options as well. Just stunning Kenny. Now, the important question - NOS air in the tires? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Kenny,

-----Absolutely beautiful car. I remember "Jack Sommers" well as I was from Chippewa Lake OH just a few miles away. Had a pretty darn good drive-in in Wadsworth. A bunch of streetracing went off out of there. On a Friday we would start out in Wadsworth and if we couldnt find any action we would move over to Barberton and then on to Akron. We rarely went north towards Cleveland as there were some very heavy hitters up that way. It was way more fun being a big fish in a small pond with my 66 427/425 Vette than the other way around.
------I dont remember the car, but with miles like that it probably wasnt out much! Too bad as I would have remembered a looker like that.
------Just seeing Jack Sommers mentioned is bringing back a bunch of good memories. Believe it or not one of the heavy hitters in the Wadsworth area during the summer of 66 was a 65 442. That thing would posatively get with the program! Thanks for the memories!........Bill S

------PS; I possibly might remember the original owner. Can you give us his name?

WHEN I PHOTOGRAHED THIS CAR I WAS WONDERING WHY KENNY WANTED ME TO SEND HIM SOME OF THE PICTURES. I MUST SAY WHEN YOU COME ACROSS A CAR AS SPECTACULAR AS THIS CAR IT IS A PLEASURE TO PHOTOGRAPH IT.WHEN I WALKED INTO KENNYS SHOWROOM I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THIS CAR IT REALLY IS AS NICE AS THE PICTURES SHOW AND THE PAINT IS LIKE GLASS. THE BEST PART OF THIS CAR WAS TAKING A RIDE IN IT. THIS CAR IS AN ANIMAL.AS KENNY ALWAYS SAYS "WHERE'S THE NEXT ONE" PROBLEM IS HE ALWAYS FINDS ANOTHER ONE. AWESOME CAR KENNY.

Let's see a photo with tire smoke billowing off the rear redlines. Better yet, how about a short video!

What a standup car. Nothing can compare to a well maintained survivor. I would love to run that through Vintage if only it was a camaro. That black paint looks awesome... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

It's okay I guess, I mean if you happen to be into black on black 66 SS's with 4 speed and documentation type cars http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Have seen the car ( pics ) many times and used the docs as part of my always ongoing 66 Research., not much to say that hasn't been said. As I said to Kenny in the past, best that he has the car and Not me.... I would be too tempted to violate it's Survivor status and that would be as wrong a thing as could happen to that car http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Very Nice!

I gots to get me a photographer http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND WORDS. I WAS PLANNING ON SHOWING THE CAR AT THE YORK US 30 REUNION THIS WEEKEND BUT FAMILY HEALTH ISSUES FORCED ME TO CANCEL. I MUST SAY THE GOOD CARS ARE GETTING MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND AND EVERY TIME I SAY IT SOMETHING INTERESTING POPS INTO PLAY. GLAD EVERYONE ENJOYED THE PICS. I'LL DIG UP ANOTHER ONE SOON.... KP
