Since you liked the pics of the unrestored 69 Yenko from this show, I thought you guys might like to see the three entries LV Camaro had there... Belair, you might recognize one of these... hint, its the one with the seat moved so close to the dash that i really understand why they call it a knee knocker tach. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The Inciner8or... The official "head scratching" car of the show...its amazing how mezmerizing 8 turbos can be for some people! Gotta admit, it IS pretty amazing, even when you DO figure out how it all works! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

By the way, this car was later invited into the invitational indoor display in the convention center, where only about 20 of the thousands of cars were invited by Goodguys staff to park...they didn't understand how 8 turbos work either.

Steve can provide more details, but its got 4 wheel independent suspension (fully chromed and polished) full custom leather interior, custom hand-made bed, chopped top, shaved handles, filled firewall, etc. etc. Power comes from a modern small block with a way cool hand built air cleaner. pic attached. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Belairless, (sorry, couldn't resist)

I noticed you put the long exhaust manifolds on that car. Did you also equip it with the other service package items, such as the '63 cam and 006 distributor?

Joe.........I met you on I-80 Thursday just east of Davenport, Iowa. You were stopped at a rest stop on the Illinois side. And then I met you and Steve's rig again Monday afternoon just west of Davenport again on I-80. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We went to Camaro SuperFest in Ann Arbor, Michigan this past weekend. We left 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning (7/1) and returned Monday (7/5).

You might have seen our caravan. Two pickups pulling enclosed trailers and two pickups pulling open trailers with Camaros on them.

Wish I would have been here in Des Moines to attend Good Guys and meet you. I have seen the Inciner8tor at Imagine Motorsports on Hot Rod Power Tour. I think the pickup was also there was it not? I don't remember seeing the '62 Chevy though.

They are all sweet looking rides though ! ! !

Verne..those manifolds are nice....I can't remember what dual point is in there anymore...and its a 409 horse cam...not a Z11 like a lot of people do...

Belair,
You couldn't run the Z-11 cam anyway, unless you used the 583 heads (deeper valve spring pockets to prevent coil bind). I was just curious since the manifolds would indicate "service package" in '62.
There was only one dual point offered - the 919. I'll email you with some details about component combinations and when they were offered.

Too bad I won't see you at York tomorrow.

Verne.

690 heads...I have used Cranes Z11 cam with those heads before though.

Belair,
With today's technology, I'm sure you can get valve springs that meet the Z-11 cam spec, but with smaller diameter wire, so if it's set up right you can have the valve lift with 690s without coil bind. Just can't do it with stock springs. Some people have tried to machine down the spring seats on 690s and hit water. And in the worst case, the seat didn't break through until after after the engine was running......nasty result.

Verne.
