As many of you know, I've been looking for a '67 Z for about a year now and just picked one up. As luck would have it, 2 more that I have been working on and have wanted for quite some time may also be available. I was speaking with my wife this morning trying to decide which of the other two I was going to buy (really don't have room for all 3). She thinks that I am nuts for buying more than one of the same car. "Why not get a Chevelle instead of another Z?. What's the point of having two cars exactly the same?" - pretty much summed up her feelings on the matter. Maybe she's right??? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif We have an '05 Z51 Corvette coming in October for cruising and dates etc. So the older cars are really just for the occasional cruise night trip. I have always flipped back and forth between Camaros, Chevelles and Corvettes since I was 16 years old, so maybe I should "diversify". Anyway, I would love to hear what others think about this. Is it crazy to have more than one car of a particular model in a small collection of maybe 3 or 4 cars? Thanks for any thoughts that are shared http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

If 67 Z's float your bost then get another..I would personally rather have one of everything...but I can only store 4 so I wouldn't have twins.
I think your main defense is that you don't have more than one wife--------------But press the buttons that make you happy --And you can always park that '05 vette in my garage if you go out of control http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif--------- http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys...!!!
If you like '67 C-28's then buy all you can find. They are not making any more of them.... !!!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
You can then take your time to decide which one is your favorite.
You can always sell one when you decide what you want to keep for the long haul.
Where would I be today if I had not bought my second BM Vette?
That car might not even exist today if I had not bought it.???
Follow your heart. As long as you can live with the little woman over it with out getting a Divorce.

Why would you want a Chevelle?
You don't want a Chevelle.
You hate the Chevelle.
What are you doing?..Stop,stand back, get away from that Curtain! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Thanks for the comments guys. I guess she does have a point. I think that part of the problem is that I just can't say no to a nice '67 Z and since they are so few and far between, I'm always thinking that I might not come across another anytime soon. Pantera may have the right idea about buying them all and keeping the one(s) I like best http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif
JoeG, you're first on the list for the Corvette if I run out of room http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Charley, I showed my wife your comment, she agrees with you http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
C'mon Mr70, my first car was a '70 Chevelle and I've owned another 11 or so...that has to count for something, right? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
Rich P, Wow, new cars depreciate??? I never would have guessed that...you really do know the car market http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

Ditto! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
My wife is giving me the same grief. I was thinking about buying another 67 Camaro to play with as my RS is so close to bone stock original that it would be a waste to modify. She laid down the law that on no uncertain terms was I to buy another vehicle period! Next to most of you my collection is quite small and ordinary, but I guess I see her point.
However, the preservation and/or restoration of any 67 Z28 is a good thing in my book. Hopefully someday I'll be able to have one of my own. Now if I can just get over this sudden urge to transplant a ZZ502 and TREMEC TKO into my 67 RS I'll be alright.
But I'll never be sane. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
