This large estate auction features a collection of over 70 cars including Corvettes, Muscle, 50's and 60's cars. Most are restoration type vehicles. Also a very large collection of automotive parts.

I dig that AMX. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Almost makes you want to cry when you see cars of this caliber being trated like that. Obviously the guy had good taste in cars and cared enough to buy the right ones, you would think he would have stored them a little better

Looks like he spent the money on the cars and then couldn't afford a better place to store them.
I wouldn't mind having that problem.

Mr. Flinspach was a member of our local car club and purchased most of these cars years ago. The fact that they were just "used cars" at the time and stored inside speaks well of him. Most of the cars have collision damage, I believe.

There are a number of cars outside that didn't fare as well. Come to think of it, the whole auction is a hoax so don't come - uh, I'll go over and check it out and report back on Monday......... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Has anyone been and seen the cars?
My father is interested in the 442 and is willing to bid on it but there are not nearly enough pictures of anything in this auction. Was wondering more about the condition of the chassis and bottom of the cars. Having sat in a barn for years ....we all know that a moist floor would rust them from the bottom up. The car looks good from the picture shown ...BUT who knows.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My bidder # was 1003 - and I wasn't the last. There were probably several hundred more spectators. It was a zoo.

64 GTO conv., correct tri power but wrong VIN, POP, rusty but good resto candidate: $25k

67 Vette roadster purported to be 427, with NOM 427 tripower beside car, bent frame?, rough project $20k (this was first car sold and was probably the only "buy" of auction if you indeed found a BB tank sticker)

53 Vette in a basket, rough project, 90% complete, $48.4k

57 Vette fulie? car, NOM engine, complete, best looking car there, might drive with a little TLC $31.9k

All prices reflect the 10% buyers premium.

Parts (lots) went pretty high. I didn't stay for the NOS vette stuff.
