what color is it? Just to lazy to go check i guess. But with as many that are popping up it will be interesting to see how high it goes for. Unless its a #1 car and that would be the exception and would have had to have no body repair

The only reason I would consider selling that car if I owned it would be because it's too nice. How could you ever consider driving that thing? Unbelievably nice car but I'd prefer to have something I could drive without being afraid of messing it up. Not trying to say anything negative about the car, just the opposite, that is without question the nicest car I think I've seen. Good luck with the sale, I hope whoever buys it takes care of it.

No restored car is 'too nice' to be driven! They can always be cleaned, touched up, replated, etc... Your ROI is from spending time in the drivers' seat - driving. Somebody needs to bring it to the Pure Stock Drag Race. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
This is a nice car, #'s match, very good date codes, and it's a popsicle color to boot!

What feedback there is on this guy is not comforting. See Azuri1800 feedback (http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws1/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=azuri1800) -- 2 positives, 3 negatives, 2 bid retractions. And, for some reason, he just decided today to make his feedback 'Private'.

I think that guy's bids should be cancelled in order to bring things back down to earth on the Nova auction. It looks like a lot of auctions were corrupted by his bidding.
A geniune businessman with the resources to seriously purchase cars of that caliber would not be sloppy and generate negative feedback or the need to hide it.

Another one.http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif I saw a private feedback bidder the other day. I still can't believe it's even an option. How many negatives does it take to get kicked off now? It used to be three. A year or two ago I saw someone with 7 (seven) negatives. Just a few day's ago I saw someone with 14 (yes, Fourteen!) negatives and 8 (eight) neutrals. Now he/she has 260 positives and a 94.9% rating, but is that good? I didn't bid on the item because of all the negatives. I can post the ID if you like.
SuperNovaSS
07-28-2004, 10:11 AM
You can't judge feedback solely on negative feedback. I have some negatives and they have all come from the cheapest items I have sold, from bidders that expect much more than the description stated; or retaliation for a negative left to a seller by myself. If a seller(me) says specifically chrome is majorly pitted and will need serious rechroming work and the winning bidder expects it to polish up, there is not much the seller can do but offer a refund. But I refuse to pay return shipping on an item like that which results in a negative on a $5-$10 part. Also, if I am the buyer and a seller majorly misrepresents an item, then will not respond to contacts to make things right, I will leave a negative. This usually results in a negative from the seller as retalation since he/she thinks its OK to screw people. Feedback should definitely not be private, but it should be taken with a grain of salt at times. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Paul_S
07-29-2004, 09:06 AM
Right. I definitely understand and agree. I try to follow that reasoning when the situation arises. This particular case the 14 negatives and 8 neutrals were all within the past 3-4 months (heavier in the past 2) of the ID's 5 month existence.

Ebay needs to step up and hire some young wiz kids as well as some prosecuting attorneys and start making some examples. I am fortunate enough to have perfect feedback on Ebay. However, I only sell sportscards from time to time. I can sympathize with the folks who honestly represent a car and then get screwed on a negative feedback. There are guys who make a living traveling the country inspecting cars...find a good one and USE HIM. As for EBAY - you aren't running a mom and pop operation anymore. Start acting like it and go out and get these dirtbags. How many of you guys saw the COPO and tens of other cars with the "$9,000.00 special Buy it Now"? Christ, I could tell it was a scam before I clicked on the link. The monitors at Ebay couldn't? I don't believe it. Lastly, how hard can it be for a multi-million dollar corporation to electronically chase down these people? Thanks for letting me vent here guys but these scumbags are making the muscle car hobby that we have all loved since high school a shady place to be. Step up EBAY! Marc

I was lucky enough to get one of these clowns thrown off ePay recently, and even luckier to recover the fees he induced. He had bid the car up and won the auction, then started writing nonsense emails about how I needed to bring the car to various locations, and other stalls. The success came when I pointed out to the ePay reps how the knuck was wreaking havoc with 35 other auctions by bidding the items, almost all vehicles, up with no intention on following through with any payment. He got "das boot" in two days, and my fees were immediately credited. All it took was a little research with the ePay internal search function on what he was bidding on.
Hey Charley, did you have to put a blower on that ford to sell it?

Yup, sure is a nice car. But, did I read it right? $128KUS for a 69 Z with the wrong interior, headlights that don't function (there's not enough vacuum to open them, but no power brake issues?) and a nonworking clock? Just me, I suppose, but for that kind of money for a non-supercar I'd expect something closer to flawless...

I believe this is a case where somebody hijacked a Ebay ID and hit the "buy it now" on the cross ram Z-28. I should know since they hit the buy button on my car (another 69 Z)that I listed through a local dealer and immediately left negative feedback on the dealer without contact.
Here is the bidding history. On the bottom of the page this "bidder" hit the buy it now on three cars in a short period of time for over $200,000.

Unlike the Z, I think there may be real money on the Nova as of now. Looks like at 8:00 EST we will have perhaps the best Yenko 350 Nova sold - and for a world record price at that. The new owner will have bragging rights to boot. I will be tuned in and cannot wait for the outcome. Good luck to the bidders! Funny I recall about 4 years ago a red one sold at BJ, with the auctioneer yelling "Ladies and Gentlemen this Deuce is loose - and selling all the way"!!!

Guys, when I first got my 1st YENKO CAMARO(Green)in 1998 I got a magazine that had an article with Randy Miller and he had All (3) cars, Camaro, Nova and Chevelle and at the time I thought that was Amazing that someone could have all Three!! I started to look for a Yenko Chevelle and gave up as I couldn't find one. So then I bought Kevin Suydam's Orange Yenko Camaro. Then when Kevin Hand called and told me his Orange Yenko Chevelle was for sale (always wanted that car) I bought that. After I got the Orange Yenko Chevelle I really then wanted to get an Orange Yenko Nova even though I realized how hard that might be as they don't come often for sell "let alone an Orange one". Then when Patrick's Orange Nova became available I really wanted to get that.
Everything worked out for the best---Smooth Transaction with Patrick. (also Great to have dealt with Both Kevin's) As you guys know I "Do APPRECIATE those of you that have emailed me and posted the Good Comments about the car and me being the new owner!! Set is Now COMPLETE!!

I may have saw this Deuce on it's way to it's new home. I had to drive to the Chicago area earlier this week. I was on my way home today. I was on I-75 a little south of Lexington Ky and saw an enclosed car trailer headed north with MARK HASSETT on the side. It was a maroon trailer. Was this Mark's?

BTW, I stopped at Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car Museum. He has some nice cars there including a 69 Yenko Camaro with 4000 miles. I didn't have my digital camera so I bought a disposable one. I'll post some pictures when I get them developed.

Good Trip and a great car. You should have flagged me down.
I cannot believe someone spotted me.
The car was in Tennessee (vs Texas)so I was able to get it on a weekend.

I thought about trying to stop you. Two things stopped me: 1) I was going about 80 MPH the other direction. 2) I thought about what I would if some stranger tried to flag me down on the interstate and decided it wouldn't be a good idea. I didn't feel like getting shot or going to jail http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif. Actually there was a 3rd thing too, I wasn't sure if it was you.

The Hassett's are great people and deserved to have the car . The message was taken out of context. The Hassett's are good friends and lucky to have such a fine car to complete their trio. Patrick sold a nice one! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats Mark, the way I see it, now you need a dark green nova and Chevelle to make another trio... a quartet if you count your fathom green ZL-1! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
