View Full Version : Posting photos
I sell some parts on occasion on ebay and it is very easy to put the photos on. I just can't seem to figure out how though to post them anywhere else. Can any of you folks tell me an easy way to post them? I am very computer illiterate and if it were not for my daughter who is married and moved out now I couldn't do what I do. Please help out if you can. I just tried at the end of this post to ad a photo and I may have stumbled upon it but it came up and said it could not proceed because it was too big. How do you fix that?

You were close! You just need to re-size the images...they have to be under 100KB. Just open them in just about ANY photo editor (Photoshop, Paint Shop, MS Paint, etc.) and then save it as a .jpg or .jpeg...there will then be a box to "compress" the image.
There is an easier way...just open an account over at Photobucket.com, and when you upload a picture, it will automatically resize it for you. Then just grab the URL, and post it, and you're done...
Thanks Chevy 454. I opened an account at photobucket and do have pictures now posted. How do I grab the url and post it?

Enter one of your albums...look below the picture you wanna post, and click in the box that says "Img". When it's highlighted, right click on it and select "copy". Then, just right click and "paste" in whatever post you're wanting to drop your picture...and you're done!

You left off the tail end of the URL.
There should be a http://photobucket....../PICTURE.JPG

Are these too big? I thought they would be resized by photobucket? Are they really BIG on your monitors or have I screwed something else up? By the way, thanks fellows for all the help and patience teaching me how to post the photos. You guys are great! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
