69 12 bolt rear end

I am trying to identify a rear end that I have had for a few years,I think it came off of a 69 chevelle however Idid not see the car it came from.
the stamping on the rear end is KD K294
the casting number is 3969276 and casting date is J21 I
can anyone tell me what that all means? Thanks.

there is also a C stamped on the oposite side of the KD stamp.

KD=2:73:1 Chevelle model
K=Mckinnon plant
294=day of year

Cast date.
J=Month,Oct.
21=day
1=year 1971
This was originally in a 1972 production model
