These are most likely the only Factory Original(INSERTS)to
exist. They are for BENCH Seat and BUCKET seat cars. Front and back sets. What a find!
Colors are RED, GOLD, TAN , GREEN, PEARL WHITE and for convertibles, BLUE.
Because of the overwhelming demand we will be displaying and offering these precious originals in a forum that will be fair to everyone. More info to come. Thankyou for your interest.

I had a bunch of green NOS inserts. I gave them to Chris White.

Maybe a dumb question, but if you don't have the original side material too, won't it be a mismatch to sew these original insterts into a repro seat cover? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Thankyou for the info. With the increase in value of Musclecars in general and the cost to maintain a high quality, show winning vehicle these factory original finds will help someone display seating that is representative of the GM Genuine product.

It is a good question, the difference is in the ribs and pattern in the insert against the quality of a repro piece. Get a repro piece and match them to the factory original. No comparison. The side will not be any different but the inserts will reflect the true GM seat from the reproduction recover.

I don't question that there is a difference in the embossing and overall texture and look of an original seatcover insert vs. a repro seatocover. My question was, is a repro seatcover, particularly a colored (non-black) one an exact match to the factory colored material, or is there a mismatch in color between the restof the repro cover and the original insert? Are black inserts avaialable?

There should be no color difference. I have three pictures I tried to post but need to be reduced because they are too large. If someone could re-edit the size I will send them so that they can be posted and then you will see that they are the same color.
