With the SCR right around the corner, I will try and keep everyone updated on what will be happening at the event.

Outdoors the Gateway Camaro Club will be hosting a cruise-in on Saturday behind the Gateway Center, 10am-3pm. There is no fee to participate, special SCR7 dash plaques for the first 100 entries, plus attendance prizes and a 50/50 drawing. No judging or classes, with 3 trophys (sYc Choice, Special Guest Choice and GCC Choice) to be given away. Open to all makes, models and years.

On the inside, there will be a booth set up where you may purchase a calender with your favorite supercar(s) on it. These are really neat.

Performance Years Enterprises will have a booth set up, selling the SCR7 diecast car plus other collectable diecast cars.

Most of our sponsors will have booths set up, where you can receive information on anything from collector car insurance, to a frame off restoration, to a brand new HRSS or Berger supercar.

Both a video-photographer and a still photographer will be shooting the event for the club. Following the event, copies will be available online.

At least two freelance photographers have indicated they will attend the event, plus a couple of journalists working on books related to the supercars.

For the Dick Harrell fans out there, we have a special treat for you. Attending will be Dave Libby, who is a wealth of knowledge, (helped a bunch with my car) and Harry Kalwie, who owned/drove a DH prepared car. In fact, Dave and Harry are in the process of restoring Harry's car. Hopefully we will get to see the car at SCR8.

Anyone wanting to attend the banquet and who has not contacted me for a ticket needs to do so ASAP.

As most of you know, the indoor space is really filling up, but if you have a supercar and want to bring it, we will find room. And, the outdoor cruise-in seems to gaining momentum as well. I know the Gateway Camaro Club would love to have you and your musclecar join them.

Tentative 'tow rig' meet at 9-10:00AM Wed. 9/1/04 at the plaza on Route 70 right after exiting the PA Turnpike, Tommy K and I will link up with Shor, and the Latrobe Gang.
Anybody know the name of that plaza?

This year we will have a concession stand for Saturday's show, located in the lobby of the Gateway Center. Looks like they will even have http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif available.

Looks as if I am going to be able to make the drive over and do a little tuning. Steve Hodge is going to meet up with me and we are going to make the drive from the other side of the state. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif

For the Yenko fans there will be another guest attending SCR7 that was associated with Yenko Chevrolet. It will be Warren Dernoshek, who was employed by Yenko Chevrolet doing the late '60s and early '70s. Warren worked on the Stingers, both Corvairs and Vegas, the engine transplant and COPO cars, and was first a member, then the head of Don's race team, In addition, Warren is the one who rescued a portion of the origial Yenko dealership paperwork from the dumpster, including documents on some '69 Novas, Chevelles, Camaros, Vegas and Corvairs.

The video production staff will arrive at the track late Friday AM to begin shooting footage for the SCR7 video.

For you Chevelle freaks, there will be a gentleman on hand who has been commissioned to do a book on Chevelles.
