Whats the Dealer emblem say on the Back Panel?
And whats that emblem to the right of the Z28 emblem?

Dealer emblem on the left reads "Burisman". Does have a vintage look to it.

Stuff on the right looks like some medieval graphics.

Actually, it says Ourisman... one of the Baltimore area's largest dealers.

I'm sure that's the original owner's driveway. And as you can see no garage. What a shame, orig. paint car with the right color/int combo.

What can you tell us about Ourisman?
I've never seen that Dealership name before.
In the Network,Hi-po cars sold, still in existance?

While I can't seem to find it right now, somewhere I have a letter or correspondence from Don yenko, in which he refers to Ourisman Chevrolet, I believe he actually references Yenko as being a "smaller, more personal" dealership than the "larger, more urban dealers such as Ourisman." I will do my best to figure out where I read that... SC Kid... do you happen to remember what document this was in?... I can't find it but I know I recall reading it.

They were not a Yenko network dealer, but sold many high performance cars... not certain if they ever sold any COPO cars, but from what I was told from a good friend who grew up near the dealership, they sold many Z's, SS's, Vette's, etc.

OK, I found what I was looking for... While I was mistaken in thinking it was Don who wrote about Ourisman, it was actually a copy of an article about the Yenko Stingers that Don included in a packet of info he sent out to a potential customer. Dated Feb 1 1968. The article he included was written by Bill Barnett and was titled "A Trip to Stingerville". I attached the portion of the article that references both Ourisman Chevrolet and Rosenthal Chevrolet... its tough to read, but the actual excerpt reads "Yenko is a small Chevrolet dealership when compared to an operation like Ourisman or Rosenthal, but more efficient and close knit than any dealership I've ever seen." http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

You would think that they could have at least cleaned the leaves and pine needles off of it. Are those aftermarket mirrors on it? What about the shifter handle it looks awfully short.

Maybe the console is lifted up and loose?

I like the cup holder on the passenger window ledge....

Great color combo, will cost maybe $40K to restore?

It is a nice color. Anyone emailed this seller to ask what the trim tag says and if there are any documents or pop with it?

As for the cost of resto...40K is conservative if you give it the level of restoration it probably requires. I just finished up a full rotisserie resto on mine and its ended up sucking 75-80K out of me. Here is a link to my web site showing whats all been involved in my resto and the final outcome. Still have to install the wiring, front RS lights and some trim before its ready to ride.

That and Joe probably has 14 "Ourisman Chevrolet" dealer emblems in plexiglass covered wood frames somewhere in the house... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Was there a registration date on the plate or something to say when it was last on the road? I keep thinking about this car and swear that I was across the street from it one night. I remember going down the street at night and noticing the car in the headlights and thought "a black and white '69, not bad". But when leaving a little while later I could see the rust spots on the trunk lid and the white letter tire runs and knew it needed help. This was probably about 12-13 years ago.
