Wow! This car is now on EBAY!
This car was sold new at Yenko Chevrolet, and is the only sun-yellow 4sp with p/s. I've seen this car in person a few times, it's very, very rough. Kevin has owned this car for many years, but he is not the original owner.

We were interested in this car at a reasonable price. You may be able to salvage the roof, and firewall. Frame rails are gone. When we talked to him he wanted 25k. We offered 10k. Who ever buys it I would like to see the in process pics. I'm afraid it will wind up being a rebody. That would be sad. Schonye

I can see Schoneye looking at the pics I sent while typing away on his keyboard http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Yep, what a shame! The rear frame rails have rusted away from the floor boards, in fact, several sections of the frame rail flanges are missing from rust. The pinch weld of the inner wheel house where it meets the trunk floor is gone, just dripped away.

I'm sure this is the first ebay auction I've seen where the bid amounts are shown & the auction isn't even over.
What's up with that? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Ebay has been doing that for the last 2 weeks, Why who knows maybe to keep shill bidderes from bidding something way to high and then retracking after the reserve is found

Thats how all ebay auctions are now... one of ebay's new changes. Looks like Deuce prices are going up across the board, from the best cars to the worst. Its bid over 15k in less than 24 hours... Will anyone pay 25k for this car? Time will tell I guess... Sounds like a pretty major resto for someone wanting to do the car right. Hopefully it will be restored to its former glory and we'll see it at a future SCR, spanking Frank and Marlin's as$es. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

But the extra sheetmetal isn't even included with the car is it? From how I read the description it sounds like he'll offer the NOS metal to the winning bidder.

Yes, thats how I read it, for your bid you get what you see in the pic. No NOS anything is included for the bid price.

You know that e-bay is so full of crap who knows if it's a real bid or not???? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I can't see a car thats in that bad of shape going for that much, but you never know. Maybe the buyer is a spoiled rotten rich kid from canada?. The sasquach commeth!!

Been busy at the reunion, what's the low-down on the ebay auction?
Most people saw the pic's that I brought along, the reaction was, well, unanimous http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Maybe you could scan and post some of those pics of where the rear frame rails are rusted so bad they have seperated from the floors.

I'll give it a try. I sent my digi camera to Schoneye 6 months ago so he could print out the pics, then he sent my camera back along with the printouts that I had at SCR7. The other pics I had in the snow were taken 5 years ago, the car didn't get any better!
There were some new pics on the camera though, appeared to be some Iowa guys in some compromising positions http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Assuming this was a no sale- Perhaps there is hope after all. The buyers out there are sane when it comes to this type of car in its current condition. The pictures at SCR were shocking to say the least. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Apparently, the person who convinced the seller to end the auction early did not go through with the sale after he had someone look at the car for him.
Not sure what will happen next, but might be back on EBAY since other bidders have also declined to increase their offers.

Has a Yenko car ever legitimately sold on ebay? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
