Looked at a 69 Camaro 9561 COPO last weekend. Current owner needed help in figuring car out. Car is missing engine and TH400 trans, but most everything else is there and in good shape. Cortez silver with black deluxe. I was looking through past feature cars and came across one from Konner chevrolet in NJ. Dealer is still in business and I will call them. Anyone have info on this dealer? I am wondering where this one came from and it might be a local car. 124379N619942 X-44 Thanks

Konner Chev is in Columbus. You might be referring to Malcom Konner Chevrolet in Paramus, NJ who sold a lot of hi-po Corvettes, COPO cars and Yenko cars.

This is the car from Konner in NJ that I reffered to: http://www.yenko.net/features/2003/July2003.htm
And this is a Konner I found:

I called them and don't keep records that old.
I guess this is the place - Malcolm Konner Chevrolet 194 State Highway 17 N Paramus, NJ 07652 201-261-7100
Sorry, don't know of a Collins, nor was it on this site - http://www.autodealernet.com/newjersey.html

Thanks Kevin, I checked out that website also. It's too bad GM doesn't offer a service that can take a VIN # and give you a report on the car. Without a build sheet or an original engine how can I tell if a 69 Nova is a Super Sport? I haven't come across a build sheet yet but I also haven't torn down the interior looking for one. Sorry to clutter up your post with my dribble but the NJ location gave me a little hope as to finding more out about the origins of my car. Marc

My car was sold at Kent County Motors in Dover, DE. They claimed they didn't have any docs, but when I drove the car there, I found a sympathetic salesman who sent me some paperwork 6 months later. It was not an invoice but it proved my car paced Dover Downs - that's all I needed! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Since you're in NJ already, why not pay them a visit and find an oldtimer?
