I just emailed him under my 419 Nigerian scammer bait email name. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Michael Ocksmall ...but you can call me Mike.

I have fake Western Union receipts I use on the Nigerians, and I told this guy I would send him $8,200 first thing tomorrow.

If I get an address I'll send it to eBay.

I bid on something on ebay weeks ago.I was like 10th in line, and not even near the Final selling bid of $1400.00.Then days after the auction ends,I recieve an email from the seller stating that he was contacting All the bidders because the top bidder backed out,and the item was still available to me at my last bid price.(I think they call this Phishing)So I contacted him,and he emailed me back saying he wanted all this vital info from me,Ebay ID Name & Password etc, because he has to go through Ebays second chance offer link.I was amazed at this as his emails were primitive, and not like a real Ebay second chance offer letterhead I've seen before.I emailed him back &,and told him to give me a Home address and phone number to reach him at.He refused and said give me the info that ebay wants me to get from you,and we will be trouble free, along with a check.I told him lets leave ebay out of this, they don't have to get a commission fee,if they don't know it sold. But he kept playing the safe seller asking me for my info.I knew he wasn't who he said he was,so I contacted the Seller & buyer of the Original auction,& both said that the item did indeed sell happily by both parties as shown on the auction.I was being scammed,by a copycat.
Knowing this,I still email this scammer today & give him an excuse why I can't send the money JUST yet,but will soon, like my Son is sick,or Blah Blah Blah..
He routinely begs me for the money now,and has knocked $200.00 off his first asking price.I will enjoy this!

It seems it would be simple to catch these guys all you have to do is take up one of these offers and follow the money to the crook. m

Good going Rick!
I was able to catch the scammer on eBay before they pulled down his Yenko. Please note that the seller was from Chicago, the Yenko was surrounded by palm trees, and the scammer claims to be in London! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Anyway, here is his reply... along with mine. I'm going to play him out.
BTW, I have removed his email and name so he can't Google this thread. It will blow my deal on an $8,200 Yenko!!!

Arnold,
I was relieved to hear the Yenko has not been sold. I wish I got to your email sooner, but my boss made me stay late tonight. I would quit right now, but I need money for my voracious car collection hobby.

I am very sorry to hear about your brother's death. Just this year I lost my beautiful wife when a guy she was seeing behind my back strangled her when she refused to leave me for him. It was a horrific experience for all family members on both sides.

Anyway, please tell me where to send the $3000! I am anxious, but nonetheless worried that someone has already sent you the cash.

Please let me know if it is still unsold, and I will send a check or money order, or whatever you prefer.

Thanks again for your response.

Mike

I have e mailed 5 different sellers on e bay about 5 different cars, and guess what they all had a brother or uncle that died and it was their car! These want to be scam artist need to be harshly dealt with by law enforcement!About 10 years in prison for some of them will make some people think a little harder in the future when they think about scamming people!
