------Lebanon Valley Dragway is just past the end of the Mass. Pike into New York if that helps. Dont know what the track is like now but not that many years ago you had to drive back up the strip to get back to the pits and lanes, but it was still a fun place to run!..........Bill S

A bunch of us usually go down each fall for the Nostagia Drag event at Lebanon. This year it is on October 3 which is just after the date of this Shootout. We stay over Saturday night for a few http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif and some serious "Bench Racing". They have a car show at the track the same day. For event information you can go here (http://www.dragway.com)

Bill - they do have a separate return lane now http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey Marlin..... Looks like it was a rainout. That gives you about 10 days to get your $hit together and go down! Good luck....

There were alot of great race cars there for Nostalgia Drag Day. Street cars (DOT class) in the 8's!! The last 4 cars before eliminations started were alcohol and nitrous burning cars (I am not sure of the class, but I believe pro mod?). They were both running in the low to mid 6's. During the first race one of the cars (Corvette) lost control at about the 1000 foot mark. It went head on into the wall at about 150 mph. The car blew apart on contact. Emergency crews were there for about 10-15 minutes and they still hadn't gotten the driver out. Does anybody know how he is?

It was the car in the far lane in the attached photo. It came across the track and hit the near side wall.

Here is one of the old drag cars that was there. The Candy Stripper. The announcer said it was a record holder back in the late 60's early 70's. It's going to get a restoration back to it's former glory. It never made it down the track this day. First time up the only thing it did was deposit oil on the track. Second time up the rear end or tranny completely locked up.

Marlin
There was a green Deuce there, but I believe it was a clone. Dark green interior that looked to be original.

Rick - as you may have guessed that is Chris' 70 (mr 4 speed on TC). He got a couple of runs in and I think he did a best of 13.05.
