Anyone seen where a door was pressed too much when built? My passenger door came like this.

Is that the original door? I could see an NOS door like that, but a factory installed door after all of those hands on it. I know how stuff goes in the factory, but if it's from there I bet someone saw it at paint or door seal install and said "Aaah, too late now". What does everyone else think?

Is that a tear or a shadow from a stamping wrinkle. If it is a tear, i would tig it shut and no one would ever know. I would be surprised if that was from factory. I am sure after stamping they had to pass QC, and other checks down the line. Roger

Curious...what day was your car built on the line?
Possibly a Friday. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
A picture of your Cowl Tag would help..

That's a tear. I can't see it going through the factory like that with the checks after stamping, nut welds, skin install... Unless it was a special day. -(What time is it? Aaah crap!) http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif The guestion is when was the door built and how long did it take to get on the car. Maybe it's a service door.

I've seen hood corners "tore" before on an unrestored original paint ZL/2 hood Yenko. That tear would not surprise me at all..BKH

Nothing much surprises me regarding factory quality. I've seen and own many orig paint, untouched cars - restore them to the true factory fit and finish and you'll be laughed at! I've never seen one yet that didn't have a ding or wave in it. And when the ding is OUT in an inaccessable area, you know it was a handling or assy goof!
