Greg Anderson posted a [email protected] in the last qualifying round and moved Connoly to 2nd.The 16 car field is within .050 sec and 1.6 M.P.H. Talk about a close field!!

I saw saw the Grumpy Connoly run ! There was record talk all over the place due to the cool weather.Warren can't seem to get out of his own way.My 7 year old son learned why you need those silly earplugs in when the Fuel cars came out !!! The racing was terrific but he crapped out after the first round of qualifying ! Great day..a little nippy but...awsum. There should be a law against race tracks putting those 1/24th die cast funny cars where kids can see them !!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I would be a lot happer if were Steve Johns. Steve works for Jenkins. Also, Connoly and the whole BULLET racing racing operation was ban for life from IHRA 2 years ago for elect vilotions. He is one of the dirty dozen.

Couple of home town boy ran F/C....TJ Zizzo who at the time qualified 10th http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif and another guy who was from Joliet makeing his first pass ever in a F/C...he came out of the light and got a little out of the groove...got out of it and then mashed it again...the ENTIRE car came off the ground onto the wheelie bars and tapped the wall....quite a sight to see all 4 wheels off the ground !!! Must have had a clean-up on aisle 9 at the top end !

Johns is in 3rd spot with a [email protected] Johnsons are DNQd with6.70s @205.There must be contact cement at the starting line and a 20MPH tailwind at the finish line.

Larry,
I searched the IHRA web site and the only mention I could find of Dave Connolly was from June of this year mentioning that he is a rookie in the top ten NHRA pro stock. Is there somewhere I can read about this lifetime ban? No disrespect meant, just looking to learn more.
Thanks,
-Sam

Fast conditions, 440ft elevation corrected. Most of the comp teams were complaining about early runs and cold track temps @52 deg and that meant a couple of spinouts and shutoffs from unsafe track conditions. NHRA is not one to see to these things. Ben Watson , My sponsor managed a 6.71 @ 204.. not good enough! Tough Game!

Dad was talking to Matt Berger a couple days ago, and he mentioned that Berger Chevrolet was pickin' up part of the tab on the Johns/Grumpy Pro Stock car...anyway, I was cruisin' Drag Race Central and ran across this cool picture of the 2 Grumpy cars...
