This question came to me last night just before dozing off. Since the 69 Camaro body is being repopped by CARS company soon, the consensus is the repop market is going to get stronger for parts not reproduced yet. I'm wondering if manufactures like Edelbrock would consider bringing back day 2 parts like the C3B, C427 intakes or like Ansen mag wheels doing the slotted mags again. I realize alot of these companies no longer exist, but a few do and probably could make some $ in an ever increasing shrinking marketplace. I just as soon buy a Edelbrock intake, a 3310 Holley carb, headers with cherry bomb header mufflers, a Sun tach , Ansen 15x10 slotted mags with bias-ply N-50 rear tire held up by Gabriel Air-shocks and try to listen to my Craig 8-track tape player with the rat-tailed comb stuck in the tape to make it play, as trying to find non-existant Nos or good used GM parts. Just a thought.

A book of matches works fine for the AM-8 Track in my Charger. Though the only tape it will play is Iron Butterfly's "Inagodadavida"...dun dun dah da da dun dun... for 20 minutes straight. It's like a time machine, man. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif

I once tried to play an 8 track of Paul Anka's "She's havin My Baby" and the car chewed it up and spit out the tape inch by inch for the next week. The Charger is a Jersey Girl and therefore has a very narrow tolerance for shmaltz.

I used a book of matches also. I had a Delco AM/8-Track factory radio. I was so fond of it.....I recently bought a newly refurbished one!!! It's going in my Nova, if I can ever figure out how to install it!!!!!!

I've got the FM converter, Cassette player converter, and the piece de resistance, the Realistic Channel 9 CB transmitter and reciever that fits into the console mounted 8 track in my car. Never tried the CB to see if it either transmits of recieves though.

Don't forget the reverb unit. Work great until you hit a bump, or rr tracks. Yes WE are old Sam. As in you too. But we're still pretty. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pretty and Old! A long, long time ago I was with some friends in my 69 Camaro on the way to the Aerosmith "Get your Wings" concert, listening to their brand new album on the Craig 8-track with the comb or book of matches to make it work. Thought to myself that "this is an OK band", they might be popular someday. The rain and the combo of the N-50 tires, the jacked up suspension and as many beers as I could qualf down almost led to a hydroplanning accident on the way but we pulled through unscalthed. Oh, the good "old" days.
By the way, I'm serious about some of the companies reissuing old day 2 parts, I think they might have a market for them.

There sure is. Offenhauser probably had not sold as many crossram manifolds in the first 30 years as they have in the last 2. Lots of people want the crossram look on their car. Theres actually another of the clone setups with the winters casting added to the offenhauser cover on ebay right now. Offenhauser is probably wondering what's going on.
