Your MN coded L72 is on Ebay. It's not in the Yenko VIN listing so I have no idea who sold it, or where it is.

VIN comes closest to some of those listed on Ed C's site of smaller L72 dealers.

A loose observation here:
The intake is a 1970 ( LS-6 ) intake I believe. No date on
the block is listed, so it could be a 454. I'll ask.

'70 blocks have a 3 letter suffix code starting with a 'C' for the cars and a 'T' for the trucks.
If that's Oswego Illinois,I & a bunch on this site are within spitting range of it.

Any thoughts on the engine pad? I see circular marks on the pad. Roger

If we're gonna be picky, that "8" looks upside down.

I've got images of a T0317, and a T0319 built engines and the T031 look the same on all 3 stamps. At least Tonowanda wasn't using an I at that point in time for a 1.

Should the vin# be 79N651349 instead of 19N651349? Maybe the seller read it wrong. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

No, the engine VIN stamp would be 19N.

Does anybody think the '8' looks wrong in that stamping? I know it's upside down, but looking through some pictures of big block stampings the 8's look fatter with the same width on the top and bottom. That 8 looks like a completely different font from most stampings I've seen.
