Just as an FYI, I do not use paypal, never will. Too many horror stories. I just use a United States Postal money order. Backed by the Federal Government, available at any Post office. There should be a PO near where you live. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Costs around a dollar, a lot of big Post Offices will even take a credit card. If it is used in a scam, then it is Mail fraud, a felony. If you want to send it safely, send it registered with a return signature. Just my .02.

Just add my thoughts on this. Paypal only charges the 2.9% fee if you use a credit card to pay. As the seller, I don't think you should have to absorb that cost, you are doing the buyer a favor by accepting a payment with a credit card. I usually pay through Paypal from my bank account. I've never had problems with Paypal at all. Now postal money orders, I've been ripped off by people and there's nothing you or the post office can do about it. There is nothing safe about a postal money order, so be careful.

two years ago I had about 3 months of problems with a guy who sold me a set of junk 074 heads from florida. The BS went on until he was contacted by the USPS concerning a potential mail fraud investigation. Yes I paid with Postal MO's. If it is small money generally you are out but more significant amounts gets the USPS fraud auditors going. If I would not have used Postal MO's I would have been had.

Got my money back-all of it.

Phil, I paid some big money for some parts that the guy scammed me and a ton of other people on. I used postal MO's. They caught the guy and he's in jail, but they couldn't find any of the money he scammed so nobody ever got anything back. I'm glad you did, but I just wanted to point out that nothing is truly safe when dealing with cars, parts and people.
