I saw that earlier and started to post it here but I think everyone here is tired of hearing about Bain and Greg at DPE.

He just sold a complete crossram setup for $10,100 and I'm wondering if the buyer will really get an original setup. They have quite a few auctions going on Ebay for some decent money so we'll see how legit they are. The fact that they're willing to restamp a motor is disappointing but I guess there will always be someone who will do it for a buck.

Here is Greg at DPE's Ebay seller list. He has two auctions running right now that looks like the exact same engine but with different intakes sitting on it to make it appear different. DPE Ebay (http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQgotopageZ1QQsassZcorvettepro2002QQsorecordspe rpageZ25QQsosortorderZ1QQsosortpropertyZ2) Item # 4501073305 and 4501081016 are the same but he takes the crossram off and sets it against the wall in the pic. It is becoming very clear how authentic Bain's paperwork is.

sounds like to me the seller will be buying what ever the seller wants, really nice how he words all his ads. looks like all that metal stamping equipment he has is gonna pay off for him. yeah, bain may not have had a copo but looks like hes fixin to have one.

Bain/Greg can stamp BBC engine pads until they're blue in the face, but that Chevelle still won't be any closer to being a COPO than the day they started building it...

sure it will, if anyone can't tell the difference whos to say its not. i hope it doesn't get to that but it sure looks like thats where its headed. boy oh boy buyer better beware. and yes, i know the saying about the duck. thats why sites such as this are important, lots of folks don't like discussions about this kinda stuff but it seems to me there is not much a choice, someone better stay on top of this deceitfullness, especially you guys with the real mccoys.
