Holy Cow! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif There's eight days left to this auction and it's over $200,000.00 already!

With e-bay auctions you never know if it's a real bid or not!

Are these cars really selling for this kind of money? I know the hemi's bring decent money, but I haven't been following them and this seems like a pretty big jump.

Kind of scary. They were in 150-175k range a few months back... People hear $2 million for a ragtop and they start dreaming that the hardtops must be at least half that. Maybe people are trying to buy up cars in time to resell them at BJ in January.

Maybe I can get a gazillion and a half for my car now...but then my wife would only spend the money on useless stuff like food and clothes for the kids, house remodeling, roof repair, etc http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif instead of important stuff like more old cars.

I checked the bidder history and I would be wary of any "0" feedbacked bidders. The Chevrolet09 bidder is a guy in NJ who seems real. He bid my Z11 up to 56K and wanted to come inspect. So at least he's a real live person.

I was told a low mileage Challenger sold for $500,000 cash in a briefcase to a guy in Europe.

Something sure seems wrong, when the price of these cars goes up faster than choice real estate, and they don't make any of that anymore either...
