I was wondering if any of these cars belong to forum members.
I remember reading in another post that there was speculation as to the authenticity of some of the cars up for auction... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I will be respresenting the company I work for, this year at the auction http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here's another interesting one. 68 Hemi Dart, but the guy can't authenticate it. He quotes that to the best of his knowledge it is original. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The Corvette is not authentic by any means. Proteam Corvette did some build up on the car and called it "Scotty" now they want their money back...

Your talking the motion vette?. I've read in a few places that it is original #'s matching gt motion vette and has been owned by the same family for some 20 odd years. Is there something amiss with this car????

I've heard that Scotty was done personally by someone in the GM design division on his own. He has been present with the car at various shows and has talked about his work on the car back in the 50's, Scott was the last name of the engineer. If this is a made up car, they have done lots of fabrication of the story, and I mean lots of fabrication. Are you sure this is a made up car? I know that they had it for sale for a long time in its unrestored condition. I am not affiliated with the dealership in Ohio, but from all I have read and seen of the car, I've always felt it was legitimate.

On the 1954 F-88 concept car this is this is the only one the car has a lot of
History behind it I would think this one would bring in BIG money if someone knows
Of what it is and how it escaped the crusher
Norm...Is that the car that an engineer took apart and put in crates? I heard a story like that a while back. He then had the crates shipped to his home? The car was supposed to be destroyed, but he didn't have the heart to see it crushed?

Wow! This description of "Scotty" is news to me. The story I heard was completely contradicting of the truth. Anyone have a link? I would like to get my facts straight.

Xplantdad,
------I can tell you that the LS6 is for real as I am the present and 4th owner and have the build sheet here beside me. It was a Wisconsin car new and heavily raced the first few years in stock class. Original owner is dead, but I have talked to his Mom. Then put away and later bought by second owner and re-done as show car. Doug Marion did an article on it for the July issue of Super Chevy in 1987. Sometime after that the car was again stored in semi-bad circumstances. Restored as correctly as I can now it will be at B/J in January..................Bill S
Can you show us more detailed pictures of it now?

-------At the moment,,,No!........The hood is still off and I am still picking at a few things. Maybe about a week from now, though..........Bill S
Please post when possible.I would like to see & read more about it.
Thanks.

This was a pretty unusual looking car...I saw it when owned by Sixtiesmuscle Mike back in the late 90's...it was pretty nice then...I don't think I have ever seen that color combo before ...it really is a cool car. Good Luck at B/J

--------Thanks, Belair........Although nice when recieved in trade from Mike it has been extensivly detailed and re-fluffed. The Autumn Gold/tan interior was something I fell for instantly. I hope at least two bidders look favorably on the car and my efforts..........Bill S
--------I havent forgotten about getting you pics of my GP either. Just too many things to get done everyday. Ill get to it soon...............Bill S

Hey Bill,
Come up and say hi at B-J. I'll be there all 5 days. There's no doubt that you'll do quite well. Lots of $$$ in North Scottsdale alone! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
I noticed you're from Hinsdale. I was left at the health museum there when our grade school went to visit. The pricipal had to come and get me...that was a weird experience! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
Bruce
Oh that Chevelle.I didn't realize this was that featured LS6 & Mikes old car.
Never mind.

Tonight the B-J preview show on Speed did a short feature on the '69 "ZL-1 COPO" and they also interviewed the car's owner. Neither the narrator nor the owner mentioned that the car was a clone. They made it sound like it was real. Nice looking car though.

Xplantdad,
------I can tell you the 69 Motion Phase III GT corvette is the real deal. Have a letter from Mr Joel Rosen, documented conversations with Mr Rosen as well as Marty Schorr, an affidavit from the second owner, older magazines featuring the car, etc. Marty Schorr will be featuring the car in the GT chapter of his upcoming book on the history of Baldwin Motion.
This rare car has been in the same family since 1971 – 33 years ! It’s 427/435 is the original, matching number engine. This particular Phase III GT was used in early 1970 magazines as a promotional car for Baldwin Motion. There are photos of Mr Rosen driving the car. Car has an interesting history – some of the story is in Decembers Chevy Rumble magazine. It will also be on the cover of next months Corvette Fever.

What a beautiful car. Spoke with Joel today and he said he was looking at a model of that specific car that he still has.
Good luck at the auction.

The 58 Vette retractable kicked around the area for a number of years. A buddy could have bought it for like $2200 (IIRC), but passed cause it was ugly. Bought a different Vette for $3K instead. Oopsie.....

If you really want it to sell the Motion Vette for big $$$ you should fly Mr Joel Rosen in to talk about the car while it is on the block!!... hell offer him 10 g's to come out to the auction......
Considering that authentication and provenance mean everything in the collecter car world how much more would it raise the price on the car to have the builder there to over see the sale??? Would it be a lot more than it would cost to get him to come???

Hi All,
After numerous attempts to get in touch with Mike at Barrett Jackson, I finally know where our company's space will be at. We didn't get inside the tent http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
but we are in a covered area right outside the front of the "big tent" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
We are in vendor space 407-408...see attachment to see where it's at! Please come by and say hi!
Are we all getting matching yellow blazers, yenko shirts, motion shirts?
Anyways..stop by! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
