Just curious and not trying to be a d__k, but why not take something like this to B-J and see how it does? It's the right color and documented as a COPO so you'd think it could generate at least some hysteria? Yes, it's a long haul to Scottsdale but if it's worth an additional 10K (or more?). Again, just curious. Beautiful car!

Is that Glenn H.'s old car?

Yes it is Glenns H. old car. Barrett Jackson? I really do not have an interest in that I would much prefer a private collector purchase the car who would enjoy it and truly loves the car for what it is. This is not just about all the money for me. I would not take your answer as being a d__k but you are right some people buy and sell to make a profit it is not my thing. Last year a documented example (restored also) crossed the block during prime time on friday PM. I looked this car over and it was well done. As I recall the car was no reserve, and sold for about $80K.

------I also watched this car and it never seemed to get up to speed during the bidding. It was probably the biggest surprize of last years auction. That Chevelle not getting up to value was more surprizing to me than the Lincoln Zephyr bringing over $400,000...........Bill S

Bill,

Recall the Green/Green Camaro COPO (ex Gary V. Car) that went across first? It scratched and clawed its way to 70K.

And stopped.

No reserve also.

I thought the green COPO sold for 120 plus last year....

Here it is

Final Price includes Gavel. They were both Ed's cars.

I recall they had a reserve on them, which in that arena really hurts bidding. At least that what BJ group told me. Its scary to put no reserve, but most of the big bidding is for no reserve cars. Even Reggies cars had a reserve and didn't sell if I recall. Ed's car suprised me last year also. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

...Of course, that was a year ago...with the elections just around the corner....but now that the elections are over and the economy is getting stronger....
....I believe you will see even bigger surprises at this years Barrett-Jackson Auction....Hmmmmmm? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

John,

Stock market has been better indicator of car value lately. The same was true in the late 80's during the last "muscle boom".

I think that the Motion vette will be a good indicator of where the money is currently.

...How many "Hugger Orange" copo chevelles are there?
...can't be too many left out there to buy
..and there is no "Buyers Premium" to pay ...http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Let's see...sell granny's house out from under her, she don't need no house. Oh, and gimme' your piggy bank old woman! Stop struggling grandma! Okay, now where's the kid's piggy bank...OPEN THAT DOOR AT ONCE! C'mon kid, hand it over, daddy needs a COPO Chevelle! Give me that lollipop too.

Can you guys get in the habit of hiding a portion of the VIN so scammers are not building fake COPO's in other States/Countries by using legit VIN's of the real McCoy. Please don't ask if they are cause they are. You should see how many '67-'69 Z/28's are out there now. There's over 602 '67 Z/28's. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
