Way cool car, Charley!

This car looks like one that "ran" around the Pomona, Ca. area... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I like the real high/deep seat cover definition on that Nova.
You don't see PU doing that. And another L78 Nova rear engine lift hook that is plain, not painted orange.
Great looking Camaro too.Is it Barrett/Jackson bound?

Charley Lillard

No the Z28 is not going to Barrett. I have a real crossram that I am considering putting on it. I might then see if I can sell it for anywhere near what people have been getting for restamped engine, Offy crossram with #'s milled off, hyped description cars that have sold lately.
I like seeing the ads for cars where the seller says if it does not sell it is going to Barrett-Jackson.... Barrett_Jackson has been sold out since October. If they have too many of your car they are not gonna take it. Transport companys are booked up.... Easy to threaten Barrett but hard to actually do it at the last minute.

Hoo boy, don't let that writer for Hemmings Muscle Machines see it. He'll bad rap it like there's no tomorrow, regardless of how nice a car it may be http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hey Charley, whats the build date on the Z? I noticed it has the rare early production walnut wheel in it instead of a rosewood. Non-console with center mount fuel gauge is pretty cool too... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

wow, thats a pretty early 69 Z...I assume the cowl induction was added? I don't think you could get a ZL2 hood until at least 12E. Cool car.

Charley Lillard

Yes the Cowl induction was added. Car was restored by Jay Nixon about 18 years ago and hardly used.

I just got off the phone with the orig owner of the Z28. He is still in Indiana. He figured the car was long gone. He thinks he still has some paperwork on the car and is gonna look for it. I am emailing him pics.
