Rob,
Those pictures were a reminder of how it 'used' to look! Glad to see you have made a lot of progress. Keep up the great work. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Based on the previous owners fetish for tire decals, I'd guess it is another one of those. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
Rob, was the original radiator and shroud cover with the car? I noticed that it had the three core radiator cover but it is also a 4:10 car. The build sheet shows the 4-core radiator. Just curious if someone switched out the shroud cover?
The sticker on the 1/4 window is from Oswego Dragway where he used to race a lot. As far as I can tell the car has the original top radiator cover since the original emissions sticker is firmly attached and does not look like its been transfered. This car has a couple of strange things about it,the mirror on the drivers door is original ,but wrong and when it was delivered to the dealership the owner said that it had SS454 emblems on 1 side and SS396 emblems on the other. The new uniroyals seen in the picture are Doc Sams,I borrowed them to move the car as the originals were flat and dry rotted.

*Repop that Oswego decal damn it! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
*How do those tires feel on that beast?..Radials right?
*What's the date on the drivers mirror glass?
*Can you take a close up pict. of the Tune up label & Top plate right cover corner?
Somewhat similar,I know a guy here who upon taking delivery of his LS6,had the selling dealership (Krumpholz) remove the 454 fender emblems,& install 396 fender emblems. He fooled & raced the unknowing... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Very freakin cool Rob!! Was that at the orig owners house? If so how long was it sitting? Any other history to share?
Yes, This was the original owners garage, the car has not been on the road since 1974.

I know who that was http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Didn't take too many races for the word to get around town that that was no 396!!
And Rick, the Oswego decals are already re-popped. Darren has the info. I still have it around here, too....somewhere... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Car looks great...I'd love to hear more history on it. Your car looks similar to my Forrest Green LS6, except mine has the white vinyl roof. I would love to see more pix...feel free to go to the webshots link in my signature to see some pics of my beast...
